Oh jeez, how soon before the animal nuts start in on building "bear crossing" bridges so the poor things don't get run over anymore?

If we didn't cram a road, house, strip mall, or warehouse in every possible location then these animals would have places and not be roaming on the highways.

It is too bad such a noble bear has been a victim of a car accident again. It is a shame that DEP can trap, radio collar and tag them and not put up an invisible fence on the major state highways before some driver is killed in a car vs. bear collision. If they are expanding from their habitat into human habitat it might be time to have a controlled hunting season.

An Invisible Fence??? Like the ones we use for our Dog??? Not a bad idea in theory BUT sure not practical....like when the DEP tried using Birth contol on the deer population. And as far as a controlled hunt goes, maybe one based on the lottery system...not a bad idea at all plenty of other States do so. However can you imagine the whoopla that every bird and bunny loving tree hugger would raise!!!! Sadly auto VS. Wildlife is unavoidable.

I was just bear baiting the Peta people about the fence but the idea of a controlled hunt would be better. It will only happen when a person is killed or maimed by a bear. It could raise some money for DEP.
