DEP is just aching to open up a moose season. They restore black bear, now they want them dead. They restore fisher, now they are killing them off by the hundreds every year. They asked for and got a year-round limitless season on coyote, and they are killing freaking river otters .. river otters ... while telling us it's to protect nature.

Pigs, cowards, and thieves. That's DEP.

Whoa, somebody needs a hug.

And what about the Sporkweasel? What has the DEP done for the endangered Sporkweasel?

Nothing, nothing at all.

There is a year round limitless season on coyotes in CT ? Hot diggity! How soon can we bring that to MA? And the fisher should be next. I had a fisher claw its way through the floor of my chicken house like a saws-all, and what happened to the entire house of chickens was something out of a horror movie. Good DEP!

I do wish they would not kill the black bears. They hurt nobody, though can be very scary when you bump into their den. Grand creatures in the wild. Meet one in the forest some night, it is a magical experience, even if your hand sweats as you hold on tight to that heavy caliber handgun, hoping not to use it.

Moose should be left alone too. They only come down this far south during the end of summer rut season. What a thing to meet one of those at night in the forest. Unlike deer, these things shake the ground, as they plow through the regrowth like a train.
