how many sykes topix do we really need? as long as you aren't dumb as a rock and disclose all your background on the application they will hire you. But since you are too dumb to just read the other topix about it I'm sure you will only do well if you promise sexual favors. Good Luck!!

If you do get a job at Sykes please don't walk around like your shit doesn't stink. I can't tell you how many people I have seen that work at Sykes and walk around like "I work for AT&T. I know everything about the phones." Because honestly Sykes is who you work for and half the sykes employees I have seen have done nothing but put AT&T down. So really?? That doesn't make any sense. Not everyone at Sykes is this way, but about 5 or 6 out of 9 that I know or have met that works there has been. Sykes is a call center. That doesn't mean you know everything there is to know about AT&T phones.

"You fail"~~apparently you are just that...a failure in life. You sure do have some audacity insinuating that sexual favors will get you farther in the company. Sounds like you either know from personal experience or you attempted in order to get somewhere in life. I am doing well at Sykes...I have not once been intimidated by anyone with authority nor have I ever felt that my job performances as a Customer Service Representative were jeopardized unless I promised more than what my specific job duties required me to do. No, it does not take a rocket scientist to work at Sykes. However, there is a lot of information to learn & attendance is very important.

To "Haha"~~I have only come across a handful of people who may walk around as you put it~~"there shit doesn't stink." And yes I agree that working there does not mean you know everything about AT&T phones, even AT&T employees do not know everything about the company. My husband has been employed with AT&T for over 13-years and he will be the first to tell you that no one at the company can ever know it all because there are constant changes taking place. That is one of the frustrations about the job, just when you think you know what you are doing it changes. But that makes the job a little more challenging and I am always up for a good challenge.

Also there is a difference between having pride about your job and pretending to be someone you are not. I am a Sykes employee & my husband works for AT&T (and no he doesn't think his shit doesn't stink), we are normal everyday people who go to work, pay our bills, and come home to one another and our family. We both strive to do our best to overcome life's obstacles. We do not allow the unnecessary drama into our lives. Life is too short and too precious to worry about what other people are doing at work. Do your job, put more focus on yourself & your family, block the negativity out of your life & I promise you will probably be a happier person.

Skypes is always hiring. They have to keep hiring bc that job sucks, they except way to much when u r being trained and then after that, you have to answer phones all day and listen to people go off on you for something thats not even ur fault. I know some people can deal with that but not many and thats why they are always needing new people. I worked there and couldn't stand it. But if you can take ppl going off on you all day and calling you names then you should go there.

There are only certain types if people that can handle that kind I job-- but many call centers pay pretty well. I started working for a collection agency about 20 yrs ago and LOVED it! The ones that call and scream, you let them vent. If theyre upset, do what you can to help. As a bill collector, you can put some of them in their place.... Certain phrases or the tine of your voice conveys a message- you have to be able to convey that message. Just realize they're yelling because they are upset or frustrated with a situation. You can make that situation worse, or you can be their hero for about 3 minutes.

Just remember how aggravating those callers were the next time you decide to be a jackass to someone in customer service!

I am in the process of working with sykes for AT&T. I am a little confused on the monitor part. Is there anyone here who knows if you have to have two monitors? Thanks!

You work there, you don't know? What difference does it make?

If you read what I said then you would know that I was in the "Process" which means I am on the verge of working there. I haven't started yet. Don't get rude and don't even know what you are talking about.

Make more sense when you ask as question.'In the process of' doesn't mean 'in the verge of' working there. And seriously, what difference does it make? If there is one monitor or two, they will train you to use it. If it's just one, is that not good enough for you? Or are two monitors so intimidating that you would no longer 'be in the process' of working with them?

Omg, Really you need a freaking dictionary. In the process, On the verge of, are the same things! Wow. I can not believe the lack of common sense here. But then again, It's usually the idiots and rude people who make themselves look really dumb. Anyhow, all I was asking if I needed two monitors or just one. Not how to use them. Please make sure you READ everything clearly before commenting. Oh and by the way, I already got the answer I needed:)

No that isn't all you asked now again you need to READ! My goodness. The difference that it makes is I was needing to know if I had to have TWO MONITORS! As in, would I need to get an extra monitor for work? If you would have READ my comment correctly, you would know that.
