Who says doctors--outside of the ones in ER's--have actual access to all the pills. Many more hands other than a doctor's touch a pill during the course of it's life.

Doctors are told they can prescribe x-medication to x-paient for x-medical condition. If they feel there is medicinal value, that is their job--Cog in The Wheel.

Meanwhile, SOMEONE is getting rich and fat from the millions made on the millions of drugs pumping out a Lab somewhere in the middle-of-nowhere.

Sure, there's DBag Dr's out there, doing their thing, and irresponsibly over-prescribing this crap. But, it's The Suits of The World that are pushing it out and making a killing, make no mistake.

Most Americans are too lazy to set off the couch must less over throw the government which is exactly what needs to be done. Our government is allowing the food and drug companies to poison us all in the name of the all mighty dollar. Most people refuse to even believe it much less try to do try to do anything about it.

HOLD UP! Docs!

Of course pharmaceutical companies are out for profits, you get no argument with that statement. HOWEVER, the pharmaceutical executives/reps do not hold the AUTHORITY to SIGN and/or AUTHORIZE prescription medications.

YOU'RE the BUFFER whom is to protect YOUR patients from the abuse of pain and/or antidepressants which are habit forming medications.

The pharmaceutical companies/executives DO NOT take the Hippocratic Oath; however, you medical PROFESSIONALS do, well most do. I was made aware some doctors are not required to take the oath.

Last time I remember, no patient is capable or should I say, has the authority to go to their local pharmacies to request non over-the-counter medications.

Corporations are entities. Physicians/doctors are human being who can face loss of licenses including DEA license.

The "government" is the people. You and I are the government. Why do people choose to speak of the government, as though "it" runs itself? I wonder if it's another way to shift the blame or guilt...I wonder. lol

that with the sheer volume of painkillers on the street, that doctors prescribed and let that many hit the street. Are many out there due to Joe Blow selling his scrip? Sure, but have a hard time believing that there are that many Joe Blows out there that would rather have cash money than the prescription that they probably need.

There's doctors out there worsening the situation, for sure. But, are they really the sole culprit to the problem? Hard to believe.

Your argument is along the lines of blaming gas stations for selling cigarettes because they cause cancer.

People trust doctors, they can't believe the doctor would really give them something that could ruin their life.

whats really sad is I know too many people on this drug its very close to home and I could name names of people that you all probably know, but it wouldn't do any good. Ive told the police who these ppl are who sell it and do it and nothing has come of it. It hurts knowing that someone I truly love could be the next addict on the street. people please if you know of someone doing it or selling it please just keep telling. eventually it will make a difference.

Blame the people responsible please: dealers & users. Just bc a doctor prescribes a medication doesn't mean the patient has a right to misuse it. That's the problem with the USA, everyone wants to blame others for their actions, decisions, take some responsibility people. Need harsher penalties for drug users / dealers like they do in foreign countries. We need prisons with deplorable conditions , so maybe people would take responsibility to make better decisions. America is becoming such a wasteland of trash & enablers. Sad but true.
