I saw a huge cat print, it was several years ago. It was as big as my horse's hoof. There has been big black cat sightings around Bernheim forest area.

A giant cat that eats horses? Sounds like something from a episode of National Geographic, awesome! Or perhaps it could be a bad science fiction flick where a giant cat-like beast from Jupiter comes down and starts eating all the horses, then all cows, then cars, and eventually buses. I have heard of spaceships landing in Bullitt county before, maybe they will reveal themselves this Friday to coincide with the Mayan calendar ending?

I found large, feline paw prints in Trappist, KY in the field across from the Abbey last August that was almost the size of my hand, and I'm 6'2".
It was early in the morning (the sun was still rising) and since I was out hiking alone & unarmed, I turned around and headed back out.

The prints appeared to be freshly made.

I went after my black dog yesterday that ran off...I saw him sitting on a log and started towards him...I got about thirty feet from it and it jumped and turned sideways which is when i realized it was a panther. This was on the edge of melody lake in new haven

I think the panthers are just rumors. I did see a large mountain lion kind of animal dead on the side of the road on Dixie about a year ago.

When I was a little boy, I was up at melody lake. My grandma had a house up there. I was walking around a circling trail near her house that went around a neighbors house and back to the house, and I heard a low growling sound. I remember slowly turning around, before this because I felt like something was watching me. It was a mountain lion. Never in my life did I run so fast back to my grandma's house. I told my father what I had seen, and he said it was quite possible, and I should stick close to the house. I didn't argue. I never went back that way again.
