Boone's has the best barbeque chicken. I get the packs that are preseasoned and I just throw them in the oven. Delicious....! With some tators and beans...too good! Oh yeah...and a gallon of milk!

I go to Boone's at least once a week for the pick 5, and to buy my sandwich meat only.
My dad used to have deers and cows processed there but he,(and others) have said that the meat you take in, is not the meat you take out. He no longer gets his deers and cows processed there. I can't say for 100% sure if it's actually true, but I trust my dad, and I trust the other 8-9 people that has told me the same thing.
It's true! Everyone knows it! LoL!

You know what? I look at all the meat I decide to purchase very closely.
I would much rather purchase my meat from Boones instead of one of the big box stores. My meat from Boones has always been of the highest quality.

Are you talking about the pick 5 being bad?

None of it is bad. I was talking about the larger meat packages. Like 30 pounds for 49.95, they have meat that is past the sell by date in those packages. The problem is if they are going to sell out of date meat they should tell the customer, not pass it off as 1st grade product. Very sleazy business practice!

If you only knew all the tricks these other stores pull, you wouldn't be complaining about a local butcher shop. You fool!

I am a third generation patron of Boones. In all the years of buying meats there, I can honestly say, I have not gotten "bad" meat. Now, I have gotten cuts that weren't a trim as I wanted, but they were still GOOD. As far as the Deer processing goes, well I've done that too & I will say that I do my own deer processing now. Just keep your eyes open & if you don't know how to pick a good piece of meat... well, beef up!

Its safe to assume that 80% of the costumers Boones deals with is using some form of welfare to pay for the food they are buying. Just grind up rats that's good enough for them. And Keep up the good work.

As for me I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. If you want the best ask for it or get it from the case like I do. I'm on a budget to but I don't cut corners with my food or the way I want to live.

Quit buying in bulk and buy what you actually need.
Obviously bulk packages and pick 5 are for people who don't really care what they eat. They just want to "save" a dollar. To save that dollar you have to loose something. And that may be the attention of the 15-20yr old employee they have stocking the shelf. Who doesn't really give a fuck cause they are tired of helping u save a dollar when they aren't even making a livable wage at Boones.

Not a lie! Call up and ask yourself MR know it all, used to work there. It is out of date because they buy it that way at a discount. Ask if the prepackaged hot dogs, bacon, smoked sausage and other meats included in the meat bundles are not sold with a bad sell by date. It is not hard to confirm just call up and ask the guy in charge, he will tell you he buys discount out of date meat and adds it to the bundles. Watch what you buy there, it is not all top quality.

I highly doubt any business owner would ever tell someone they are screwing them over. And he may buy discounted meat but he doesn't buy it spoiled. Are you that retarded that you would think he would spend his money on something worthless to him? I mean goddamn use your brain.

Well if you could read, no one said it was spoiled. It is past the sell by date, which like in previous post I said is legal to sell if it is frozen it is just sleazy to do it and not let the customer know. And do not highly doubt it TARD just use your brain if you can get is out of your a$$ and call and ask. After your foodstamp response and buyng meat in bulk statements I know you are a uneducated dumba$$, but even you can pick up a phone and call. What an idiot WOW!

you know what spoils my onions? You pick at a LOCAL business that has been here for years & no one has died or gotten salmenlia. Why don't you comment on the shape of walmarts produce? It lays on the shelf rotted for you to buy! I pick up some potaotoes there & the rotted slime ran out of the bag! You can smell the rot. Bet you shop there to "save a buck!" as the old saying goes... let the buyer beware. Tend to your business & let the next person tend theirs without your biased freaking reactionary tirades. Understand any of that?

Well I guess you are one of the local idiots who thinks that because it is a local business and not walmart they get a pass on selling an inferior product as top quality? If I had bought my produce at Walmart and found those conditions I would sure comment on it. Here is an idea why not start your own thread about that and stay out of this one? Since you have nothing to add to it except a Walmart bashing. I rarely shop at Walmart unlike you, so who is the one trying to save a buck now? Do you understand any of that?

Well, if you think Boone's is doing something wrong report it. Start with the USDA. But it will be a waste of time. Boone's is inspected just like any other business that sells meat products. Boone's is probably checked closer since they have their own full processing center. I always buy from Boone's. If you don't like the set up, shop elswehere.
