Mr Harrison is not a gypsy, and he is not a crook.
He is a local prominement business owner, and conducts his dealings accordingly.
whatever his birth-background heritage is, is not really anyone's concern, in my humble opinion.
unless you happen to be of American-Indian descent,, you are a transplant also; we all are..
I know him quite well, and can assure you from experience that while many in this community are sneaking around in the dark and trying to screw their neighbors, he is out,, hustling and working,, trying to make an honest living.
yes, he does own the former Holt's Campground, and it has been the custom for many years to allow immigrant (traveling) workers, retirees, and others,, to stay there for extended periods.
actually,, if you will look a lot closer, you will notice how much cleaner and organized it is.
That is great. And who ever stays there at least it is cheaper living than in a motel all clutered up for weeks at a time.Good job!Thank goodness we have a nice place for epople to stay.

I am so glad to see someone take a thread that was just meant to bash someone or something and turn it around into something very cool. Kudos to you Lou for standing up for yourself first of all, and for making a crap starter eat crow! I wish nothing but the best for you and your campground.

I have camped there several times. I have had positive and pleasant experiences on every occasion. Lou is a business man, but he is also a father and husband. I have seen major changes with this place and they have all been positive! It's a nice place to take your kids for a peaceful weekend. All around nice guy as far as my experience with him. The only thing that I would suggest is that hopefully in the future he adds a play ground and place for the kids to swim in the summer.

We are planning to be in Bardstown in our motor coach in a few weeks and are interested in finding more info about this campground. Unfortunately their web site in under construction and does not have a phone number. Does anyone know how to contact them?
Thanks.

Mr harrisons dad is buried in the bardstown cemetery and has not got a headstone or marker on his grave. That would be a nice thing for him to do for his father
