This sight was created for people out of town trying to find historical sights and resturaunts and all of this bashing is reported to the city council and the computers can be tagged of there location and will be caught. Yes there is freedom of speech but not slandering others. If you have been slandering then your computer is caught.

There have been alot of great and influential players on both teams. It's hard to name them all. What time frames are you considering?

Lorenzo Conner the best in NCHS history? He was good, but not better than Gabe Stone, Cody Brown, Kyle Boblitt, Brian Sims or a multitude of other guys on that 1996-1999 squad. Even recently there were a few really good players on those terrible teams. You cannot forget the Boone boys.

Virgil Lyvers for Bardstown - great pro football player and Herbie Phelps for My OLd Kentucky Home High School (which was the county HS then) I read about Herbie Phelps in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch while growing up in Missouri.

I agree with Virgil for Bardstown. But the problem with both of these players is that it's really hard to compare them with today's players. They were the most dominate for their time, but now the athletes are better as there is more parity, so less stand-out players. Back then many of the biggest strongest people did not play football as they had farming to attend to around town. Therefore many of the people who dominated then may have been only average now.

This is like the Paul Hornung phenomenon where he is the all time NFL single season scoring leader, but probably would have never made a roster anytime from the mid-80's to current.

The only thing John Wesley Monin is best at is smoking crack and spreading herpes.
The best Bardstown football player ever was DEFINITELY William Redd. Hands down!
The best from County was Anthony Boggs.

It looks like WTF wins the thread with that comment. John Wesley really had a chance to do big things, but decided to give up on himself. I guess the same can be said for Anthony Boggs too for that matter. Super talented athletes are often times lazy so it is hard to keep them motivated.

There were a lot of fine athletes between 96-99. Gabe stone was the most athletic of them all but he was lazy. Cody Brown was excellant when he wanted to be. Ray Childs came up hurt when big games were on the line. Brian sims was the haredest working kid on the court and the field, he was just wasn't as athletic as these other guys. Kyle Boblitt had the heart and don't forget about that line they had.

Say what you want about Virgil Lyvers not being able to play with kids today, but he proved himself, other good athletes haven't. It's one thing to say how good you are, it's another to prove how good you are. Also what about Joe Jacoby for St. Joe Prep.

When it comes to the past few years, I know that Brandon Williams was a hell of a player when he was in high school, as well as Tyler Knight. No the team wasnt the greatest in the last year they were there, but these boys sure were. Brandon Williams had the most tackles for NCHS and I believe still does and Tyler Knight was a fast runner.

Virgil Livers played for NC. Also I know alot of you never seen Boo Brewer play football but he was unbelievable I believe he had an offer from Oklahoma before having a great all star basketball game and getting an offer from UL.
