I moved to Bardstown not too long ago...when it was time for my yearly gynecological exam I asked some friends I had made who I should go see here in town. They recommended Dr. Dodge. I have seen him several times and although I think he has excellent bed-side manor...his office seems to "drop the ball" frequently. I've had to return numerous times to have lab work drawn because they forgot to send all the tests they wanted drawn to the lab...I could go on...I am just really wanting to hear other people experiences? Is it just me or are there others out there? Good or bad....

I wouldn't trust any OBGYN in Bardstown. I hated Dr. Kaleefah , Baptist East/ Womens First is awesome.

I have gone to Dr. Dodge and/or Brenda Alexander for the past 2 years.. I was new to the area also. I always speak to Leigh when I call. Leigh in the front desk. She is very helpful and is excellent with following up. They usually send the labs next door to Quest. If you know what you are getting done, I would double check with quest and if they do not have all the labs, they will call Dr.Dodge's office. I am pretty certain he was a physician in the military so he is not some po-dunk physician.

Dr. Kahleifeh is the best around! At least he dont talk about the patient right out side their door and make them feel like sh*t! He is really a sweet man! Only down fall is he delivers at Hardin Memorial now. But thats ok I'll fallow him where ever!

Let me tell you why I would never trust Dr. Kaleefah. My first pregnancy,I went to him one time.... and he did an ultrsound immediately first time in the office and only 2 weeks pregnant. So it doesn't take a genious to know that you would not be able to see the baby or the sac. However Dr. Kaleefah proceeded to tell me I had a tubal pregnancy or a miscarriage. I left the office in tears & terribly upset, never to return.9 months later I had a healthy little girl. He has also told people their baby was the wrong gender many times because he does ultrasounds every time.So I don't agree with his practices.I good doctor doesn't take guesses they know their stuff!

i really like Dr. DeLaCruz. i've been going to him since i was 17(9yrs). he delivered both my kids with no problem. he is really an awsome doctor. i have alot of family members that go to him and love him. he's a real down to earth man. i also really like his staff. they treat u like u matter not just another patient. i wouldn't go to anyone else.

Dr. Kaleefah
The best of the best, he is the only doctor I will go to on this subject, he delivered my little girl, and was great with answering questions, and all the nurses that work for him are so friendy.

Dr. Kahliefah is good, but if you ever have a baby do not go to him. You are sure to have a c-section. He will send you to the hospital just because you are 4cm dilated contractions or no contractions.
Good Luck

I really liked going to Dr Dodge but ever since the red headed girl Marty left, it hasn't been the same. She was so nice and easy to talk to. The other girls are stuck up and they do mess up all the time.
go to Kaliefeh

Im sorry but I disagree with everything you all are saying i'm not saying you all dont have your own experiences but I have 3 kids and Kaliefeh has delivered my last 2. he has never got the sex of either of my children wrong. Bad experience you are wrong because you say your sure to have a c section with him because I had all of my babies natural... and if you have read any books on pregnancy you would know that it is normal protocol to be sent at anywhere after 4 centimeters as a matter of a fact that is the reason i was sent with the 2 he delivered and as i said i had them natural!!!! His nurses are great and will remember you by name even after not seeing them in more than a year!! When i had my last child i wanted to have a tubal litigation and he told me that depending on when i had my baby he could either do it right after or 6 weeks later well I had my son right as the O.R. was closing and he talked them into keeping it open and had the anestisiologist stay so i didnt have to return 6 weeks later. I dont know about you but that seems like a good docter to me..

This is SO not true! I have been seeing Dr. K for several years now. He delivered my baby in 2007. I was 5 cm, almost completely thinned and not having regular contractions. He left the decision up to me whether I wanted to go to the hospital OR go home. He said if I wanted to wait I could. He knows my file from front to back and remembers EVERYTHING I tell him. He is a very honest person and apparently some people on here can not handle that. He does not sugar coat anything. He will tell you the good, the bad and the ugly. I like that. I don't want someone to sugar coat things for me....tell me straight up!

Why did Dr K stop delivering at Flaget? I have gone to him since he came to town. I was very ill with my youngest child 3 yrs ago... severe preeclampsia... he was great with me and saved me and my lil ones life. I recommend everyone I know to go to him, and I would never go anywhere else... I went to dr delacruz before that, and had a very bad experience. His staff treated me like crap when I was having a miscarriage, it broke my heart. That is when I started going to Dr K, he has the most gentle bedside manner, and spoils his patients...
He was having some trouble with the Staff on Ob at Flaget, I believe it was one nurse in paticular, but not sure who/

I went to Dr. Dodge with my first (and only) pregnancy. I had only been living in Bardstown a month when I found out I was pregnant. I had no idea who to see. I found Dr. Dodge to be very nice. I was very happy with my birth and the exprience of delivering at Flaget. He can be a little induction happy but it seems like a lot of women around here seem to like that. I saw Brenda the nurse midwife as well and I love her.

I agree with a previous post that some of the girls in his office seem to drop the ball and lack follow through. But Leigh is the bomb. She is so sweet and wonderful and if you have a problem you can go to her and she will fix it for you.

How can it not be true? It happened to me. I think I know what he did to me. He even did a surgery on my cervix about a year before I got pregnant with my son and he couldn't even remember that even though it was on my chart. That's why I chose him b/c I thought he would know more about me but I guess I was wrong. My cousin went to clark and they didn't send her to the hospital at 4 cm. She went when she was having contractions and when she was ready.
