I think so. I've lived here several years. All my neighbors are happy too.

If you like your entrance to be a gas station. Plus you have to deal with Timmy the crook Hutchins. Why not just go down the road and buy a nicer place without all the set back issues with PZ.

2 different responses, hmmm!
For the person that lives there , are there any issues with that Tim guy the other person was talking about.
Please be honest , it's a big decision to buy.

And for the other person what are set back issues with PZ?

We've never had any issues. There are neighborhood restrictions. Maybe that's what "better places" is referring too. The restrictions don't bother us. It keeps the place nice looking. I'm really not familiar with Hutchins other than his family developed this neighborhood. Oh, there are two entrances off Lutheran Church Rd that are not gas stations. The gas station is a cut through. That is one issue - people cut through there to get to Luthern Church which isnt' an issue if you don't live on that stretch. Hope that helps.

If you go to the Planning and Zoning office, go ask about the setbacks and the issues with all the lots. When developed, someone TH is his initials, did not lay out the properties right. All you have to do is go down to the old courthouse. And the sad part, very few of the homeowners know about it.

BUT, the biggest reason not to buy there, you are in city limits, meaning higher taxes.

If you want a nice place to live, holly is right. There is also Wellington, Forrest Hill, downtown Bardstown, Maywood, Woodlawn and Farmington. You can ever go down Louisville Road for a few nice places.
Avoid 150 area, some run down parts south of Courthouse, behind buzick and BJ's.

Okay...I don't know about the problems with the lots. Schools are good. The brand new Thomas Nelson is down the road. OR you can pay a small fee and take your child to the city schools. I think either is good. This is city limits, but county schools. I thought the taxes were reasonable, but I'm not from around here. To commute to Louisville this is good, but there are other places too. It depends on where you work, what side of Bardstown you'd want to live on.

Just to make a point.

Go to planning and zoning and check out the setback.

See that the taxes are higher due to being in the city. City taxes increase your tax bill BIG TIME.

And as an added negative, Tim Hutchins is a crook and you can avoid being in business with him.

There are some great places in Nelson County and this is not one of them

So he filed a lawsuit against AT & T for them not paying their bills? Why would he care, unless he was billing them for services?
Now if you mean he owes AT & T, how would you know?
