It does not matter what anyone thinks of him. He was doing his job. No matter what he did he does not deserve to die. I hope they find the worthless skum that did this to him. My prayers are with his family!

Can't believe this happened....as I said in my previous post last fall...one just never knows. I am having a hard time with this. Such a nice guy, being ambushed like he was. Hope they find and take down the cowardly ass(es) that did this senseless act. May Officer Ellis rest in peace, and prayers for his wife & young children. ♥

Sad but u may have pegged it. RIP Off. Ellis
The whole scene screams of ambush. Perhaps someone he arrested was lying in wait (previous posters to this thread perhaps?) I hope they find the killer immediately.

As soon as I read all the reports today online, I thought ambush, also. Too coincidental he's on his way home, in a "pool car" (a cruiser he doesn't usually drive, typically used as back up when an officer doesn't have his regular vehicle for whatever reason and that pool car was not equipped with audio/video/camera, he didn't call out and report he was stopping to assist, and the next thing you know he's been shot?? Makes no sense and then it makes perfect sense. How odd that he was driving a cruiser that has no video the night he gets killed? And how odd that he was shot in a remote area (Idc who you are, that exit is deserted that time of night)? Why didn't he radio dispatch that he was stopping? Because it was someone he knew....or had known and didn't think there was a threat...or he assumed didn't look threatening? Female accomplice? Just a thought...and I think it was totally planned...not just some "freak incident, coulda happened to anyone" kinda thing...

Someone studied hard to do this. They knew which route he routinely drove home, when he'd be coming that way, what vehicle he was driving, knew he had no video in the cruiser he was driving, developed a plan to get him out of his cruiser, staged a gunman. This wasn't random. This was clearly premeditated. And it is sickening.

Thank you to all of the idiots who left evidence here to show their possible motive in Officer Ellis's death. I hope they come and investigate all those who have posted negative statements about his service. May the good guys prevail!

I dont love cops but what would our society be without them. There are people.out there that do illegal activity as employment and then there is your police. They both have a job to do there are dealers.out there that do it just to support there family not to get a new pair.of.shoes . Same as the cops Jason was not.only a cop but he was a dad a son a husband and no matter who he had bad ties with he did not deserve to die. He used to talk to my kids all the time everytime he saw them. He was a good man and I am heart brocken that someone would do this to him. My prayers go out to his family. My heart aches for his children. Wake up America what happened to us .

How are you accessing this 'picture'? Maybe, the law enforcement officers involved in the shooting made sure to use a weapon that matched the one in the photo?

Trying to frame these guys. you can't think it's that easy, do yah? If they did it, why not trace their cell phone usage? if they texted or made one call or access their cell internet, the cell phone carrier would be able to generate a report.

While you're 'investigating' go and get the coordinates and call all cell phone carriers to find out if any cell phones were used prior to or after...

then get back with me...the photo means nothing...they make fake guns yah know...stage props, maybe it wasn't real.

plus ya'll would've called majority of this BMG gang to test for gun powder residue...wouldn't you? ya'll claim they're a repeat offenders...wouldn't you have authority to question them?

of course not, that would be a waste of time because ya'll know who done it.

Jason was a good guy. I grew up with him playing against him in baseball and then with him on the same High School team. He was a church going guy, and would have done anything to help others in need. Although I have not seen him since high school, I don't believe any of the negative words thrown out there against him. Jason you were a true hero to your family and your community. They will find out who did this to you and your family. R.I.P my friend. You and your family are in all our thoughts here in Batavia.

Don't believe any of the negatives here, those are from criminals who always claim to be framed. Sorry for the loss of your friend, I have heard nothing but positives about Jason.
