<quoted text>where do you find data on quality of life ratings.
just spend some time in the area, the quality of life in the area is all around you...spend some time there around the first of the month try shoping or just walking around. numerical data can be found in just about every paper every day. state and federal data for the ratings of the area can be found as a matter of public records. The few that have average jobs such as tru-seal have a false sense of privelege because those around them are so deprived.

this is a perfect example of the handful of folks that think they are priviledged. probably goes to some local church listens to some evangelical style preacher and tells everyone how much god has blessed them. then they get on topix and post things such as this. then they get on here and put down the community leaders, then they yell wheres the data. sad situation . no corporation in thier right mind would invest in an area with this kind of mentality.

i hate to see truseal closin hav friends there . Dont know the cause nor do i care bottom line is they are closin . But the high and mighty unions have driven wages up as well as pricing and the union is why americians have to pay 30,000 dollars for a car that has 6000 dollars of material in it this is also why forgien car companies are makin a killin off americians. Union workers in america take little pride in doing a good job because the know if union is there they dont have to unions have long outlived their usefulness and is now just a money rackett for politics and mafia

I find it hard to imagine that someone who was not satisfied with 18.00 an hour will have an advantage over people who really worked hard for 8.00 an hour. Everyone around here knows the reputation of truseal workers and that reputation is not good. You may be impressing the people you have led to destruction but not the rest of us. The moment you tell someone you worked for truseal you will be culled out.

Unions are just other big corporations that go where profits are...they are actually more destructive because they can bail out as soon as the profits go red. Unions should have the same responsibilities to their members as the corporations do ....when plants are closed.

Unions used to be important for insuring safety and fairness in the workplace. It is unfortunate that they have turned into bludgeons to force companies to cave to excessive annual demands or go elsewhere. Perhaps some former Warner's employees will be able to help these people find jobs.

Add American Greetings and National Standard to that list. The only thing the union does is collect money from hard working employees, to protect the jobs of the lazy and sorry employees who won't work, if they take a notion to even show up to work.
