My husband has suffered for 30 years with Gout Arthritis and if anyone out there has it you know how painful it can be. My husband and I have discovered a remedy that works to keep him from having attacks as long as he takes it every day. I think it keeps the uric acid from building up and washes it out of the body. He has also been able to eat foods that would have caused a gout attack before. The remedy is cheap and easy to make and can be bought at just about any grocery store. It really works for my husband because he has not taken a gout pill in 6 months and was taking them daily. The doctor told him if he stopped taking his gout medication he was opening the door up to let the gout come back in. Well this remedy has closed the door and it's all natural. I will post the remedy if anyone would like to try it.

Yes, please. I will try anything! Gout is awful. I had my first attack at the age of 35 and I'm a female. My doctor was shocked when the test came back positive for gout. I don't take a perscription, but I do suffer from attacks. If you have a natural remedy, other than cherries, I would love to know it. Thank you, in advance.

Boy, look at all the attention she is getting! This must be the reason she is not posting it.
Cherries is the only home remedy I have heard about.

i have gout, ive had it since i was 16, 27 now. It sucks. Ive tried many different things and take gout medication for it as well. So far i eat cherries on a daily basis, take Celery seed extract (you can get this at gnc) i avoid high sodium and high protein foods as well. Normally the high sodium is very hard to get by due to most foods having high amounts of it as a preservative but i make due. Also avoid shell fish.

however if the creator of this thread has something that could benefit us gout ridden people i would like to hear what she has to say as well

Here is the recipe: Go to the store and buy a large bottle of 100% Juice it can be grape, apple or pretty much any kind will do and buy a bottle of Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar. Mix 6 cups of juice and 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar. Keep refrigerated. The first week take 1/4 cup one in the morning and one in the afternoon after that take 1/4 cup each day. I hope you have the Good Luck we have had!!!

I have bought cherries by the bags full because someone said they were good and they never helped or improved his gout but I am not saying they don't help some people or you would not be hearing about it. The juice recipe has been a life saver for him and I don't see why it would not work for other gout sufferies. We stumbled onto this by accident a friend told him that Apple Cider Vinegar was good to help lower sugar levels and yes he is a diabetic too well it does help some with sugar levels but it was suprising how completely it controlled his gout. If you have gout all I can say is give this a try.

He was on two gout medications and they have been so hard on his stomach why take it when there is something that works better and is all natural. Any medications a doctor gives you have side effects this juice drink has none. What are the side effects of Uloric?

I looked up the side effects for ULORIC. The most common side effects are: Liver problems, Nausea, Gout flares, Joint pain, Rash. It even says it can cause Gout flares. My recipe is still better, no side effects, all natural. God made the fruits from which juices are made and even apple cider vinegar is made from apples. Man makes the pills. I see on tv all the time lawsuits which say have you taken this medication or that and now its hurt or killed someone. I love being able to take something natural and say that is good medicine why can't doctors prescribe it because they can't make any money off it and they give us the pill and we still suffer.

My husband has severe gout in his feet to the point he had surgery last year just to scrape the foot bone from the crystalization that turned into mold/bunion. Thank you for posting this remedy. Right now he is on allinpurinol (I think that is how its spelled) and Ultrum for pain. It works really good;however, we are trying to have kids and it kills all "protein" in the body=sperm. I have heard of a link between diabetes and gout, but his doc said it depends on the person than in study. Does anyone know any other remedies that we can try other than chemical medication?God bless anyone that has this disease.

I just wanted to say one more thing to this person I am not posting this for any kind of attention. I have seen my husband suffer with undescrible pain. He has stayed awake at nights with pain, had to walk on crutches many times. He even had to crawl up the steps one time coming back from a doctor visit because he just could not walk up them. People with gout suffer greatly and if you have gout no one needs to tell you anything about it because you have lived it. If this recipe helps any of you thank God not me. I want no special attention for it because I don't feel I deserve any.

I've also witnessed my husband crawling, and using a walker cause of his gout pain. He's a very "manly man" but that's one thing that brings him to his knees literally. I feel so sorry for gout sufferers. I don't have it, thank the good Lord, but I have seen first hand him lay and cry in pain. He begged me once to cut his foot off. So I know he must have been in some serious pain. He takes Cholozine and I know I spelled it wrong, but it helps somewhat but the gout seems to return no matter what he eats. I'm gonna go tomorrow and but some juice and cider and see if it helps him out any. Thanks for posting it.

My husband has taken what you're talking about, and it didn't work for him either. The only actual medicine we have found is the allorpurinol (exact spelling). Its a perventive medicine that he has to take daily. However, when you want kids...I really REALLY do not recommend it.

Did not mean to confuse you. If you will look at the beginning, you will see many, many people begging for you to post the remedy you said you had. One after another was asking for you to give them information and you would not respond to the requests.
