My child is starting kindergarten in the fall. I'd like other's opinions on the best elementary school and why you think that. Im looking for opinions on the school in general at the moment, so that I can make an informed decision. I'd like information on programs, academics, extra things the schools do, parent involvement, etc. Please no bashing of individual teachers.

Best to go visit in person and meet staff for yourself.

That's true, and I plan to do so. I know that this isn't a foolproof method, but I'd still like to hear what others think. Thank you!

G.R. Hampton is a good school, or at least it used to be.

Gr is by far hands down the best. You will come in contact with staff or parents who are rude or not great at any school though. Lotta ppl take there kids to GR daily just to insure better education and a lot more activities for the kids & parents. Best choice IMO

Might need to go to the Kentucky Dept of Ed web site and look at school test scores.

GR is a great school.
Marci did leave and we miss her, but the school hasn't went down hill. If anything it has gotten better, with the new principal and the renovations that have taken place. GR has some great teachers and the PTO is very involved.
Hope this helps.

I know GR Hampton has an awesome kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Warren is such a good teacher, she's very kind and fair. She works her students hard so they learn, without being to overbearing. She don't care what the child's last name is either. I would highly recommend GR.

Everyone has their own opinions. Not sure I agree with this one, but it doesn't concern me.

Your child should go in your district and if their is a problem, get it fixed. People here are spoiled.

I think Central Elementary is a good school too, I know several of the teachers and they seem to be there for the right reason.

Gr Hampton is excellent I live next to a school and I drive my child 10 mins to get there. Mrs warren is a excellent kindergarten teacher. She is very catering and sweet and goes out of her way to help any child she can. She has been a blessing at that school akin with many others. That school feels like family and is a close knit school. Go take a visit over there and talk to the principal and teachers and ESP mrs. Warren.
