It's a dam shame the we am have a 7-0 undefeated football team and can't get any better coverage then what we do! The Corbin times does a lot better. The Pineville sun do a very good job with all the local teams . Most of the time a full page on each local. Team lots of pictures and all . But our writer dont even know the name of our team. Said in this weeks paper that the Tigers had a much needed rest week before we played Rockcastle Co!! We are THE KNOX CENTRAL PANTHERS!! You Ding Bat get clue! or just stop all together .. Pitiful

I think the Advocate probably should spend some time on Knox Central -- the original poster is a example why more attention should be given to academics and less on sports.

"the we am have"
"The Pineville sun do"
"full page on each local. Team lots of pictures"

That's hardly all of the grammar and we'll not discuss incorrectly spelling of "dam" (originally it was a "tinker's dam" but in this instance it is not a tinker's dam being used.

At least you did use "It's" correctly.

I went KC as a student i didnt get a good education and thats partly my fualt. But i sure as hell dont need an asshole like you to tell me that.but my grammer and spelling has nothing to do with our sorry ass sports coverage of our football team. He called us the tigers!! So you can take your grammer and stick up your tight ass after you remove the stick you have in it ! btw i took what i learned and made it work for me i make more then the teachers that i had in school!

And you never make mistakes? How about "discuss incorrectly spelling"? Now Mrs/Mr English Professor is the right grammar? I think not!!! Get off you high horse!!

You are correct on the issue of academics versus sports... You will have hundreds of people show up for a foot ball game, basket ball or other sports outings, you will get a handful show up at a Meeting on the quality of education their kids are receiving... We end up with a lot of young adults that can run fast, throw a ball and tackle people on their way to welfare/food stamp lines...

I played football at KC and i have worked my ass off all my life. Always trying to better myself, always looking for a better job. I didnt get a good education but i have always tried to do better. And i did i'm not bragging by know means but i have a job that i make 70,000 dollars last year. And i have done jobs that would make a billy goat puke. And i have never been on food stanps but if i had to i would take them and hold my head up high coz bygod i have paid my dues. So all you grammer cops can kiss my ass right in the middle.

And one out of a Million make it to the pro's from high school sports... I never get on anyone's case for grammar or spelling unless they claim authority on the subject... What I was referring too is how so many support sports and give almost no support to their kids getting an education... You may well have a good paying job and be doing well... But a quick look about should tell you that a Good Solid Education in the Sciences, History, Mathematics and Literature is far more important than tossing a ball and tackling people... Just think where You Might have been if you had the same work ethic you say you have along with a few degrees in a couple of fields of study... That 70k job might be a 700k job today...

Might be right about that but i played the hand i was delt . Your always gonna have to have workers to use there back and hands and that is me. I do regret not applying myself to the books but i have made living pay my bills and have a few toys to enjoy. I'm just proud of our KC Panthers and think they're doing a fine job. Just need better sports covrage in our local paper.

JUST MY OPINION, WE ALL HAVE ONE SO WHAT'S YOURS?

Buying the Mountain Advocate is a waste of money and believe me your money is all they want. There was a time when the Advocate was an asset to the community. But that time has passed and the evidence of what I'm saying is evident in the way the paper is being ran today compared to times gone by. All you have to do is go to the Corbin Times Tribune's web site and compare it to the Advocates web site.

The Tribunes web site is open, just click on any story and there it is in its entirety. I believe they care about the community and I think they deserve our support, so please buy their paper.

The Advocate's web site is not fully open, just look at the stories they're no more than teaser's so you will pay them to see the entire story. I'll be honest with you, I dont think they're trying to be an asset to the community. It appears they only interested in our money. I know the Advocate is a business but so is the Tribune and they dont have the teaser's instead of stories. This is just my opinion, you make up your own mind.
