Well u an't seen nothing yet, This Day Treatment thing. These kids have ankle bracelets And they are form Bell And Knox County's I would not send my kid to the middle school with them. Why not send to the jail house or just bring them form the jail over there and let them get there GED it's the same difference. You'all better wake up and check out what is going on in your schools. Putting Amy Bays in there is like putting a blind Dog in the meat house. Why would you put your kid in the same Bathrooms with thim, and in the Gym, And Cafeteria with them. Why did Mr. Hulett and the grant righter in central do this for he knew he was leaving so what the heck he was going to get revenge someway you can bet on that. And he did it!!!!!!!!!!

These are kids you are talking about!! These are kids that haven't committed horrible crimes! Shoplifting is probably the extent!! They will not be in the cafeteria with our kids, the gym or the bathrooms!! Chill out!! This is intended to help these troubled kids find their way!! You don't know their stories or their home life!!

you are right.shoplifting, poor attendance, some just made poor decisions, and i can guarantee a lot of the "GOOD"students have made the same mistakes and just havent been caught.putting them in jail and/or isolating them would effect them negatively.if you think thats the way to educate them then picture where and what that child should face and then picture it as your child.

The children need help and should be housed at the high school if they have to be. Most day treatments are not on school campuses much less a middle school

no, you get ankle bracelets for under age drinking, open containers, possession, assault, criminal mischief and numerous others crimes that a judge and prosecutor decide upon.whether guilty or innocent you will wear it till the judge decides the final outcome.so a child could wear this for months and be found innocent, yet you dont want them in school for fear they might endanger your child.and whether you believe it or not, juvenile facilities stay full of children with poor attendance.and you misspelled bracelets as"branchlets"dummy. once again treat these children as you want yours treated.we all love to drop the hammer on wrong doers until ours does wrong then we want a break.

The road of life is curvy and treacherous. I am thankful that there are opportunities , especially for kids who are troubled. Many kids in these type facilities have been neglected, grown up in single parent homes, have witnessed domestic violence, have gone hungry, have been without shelter, have been abused in various ways, and have minimal contact with positive people. The principal at this school also oversees the Alternative School. Maybe the kids will respond and improve academically and or behaviorally. Hopefully the school will have caring teachers who understand their needs . Why not try to help and support these kids and embrace them vs. treating them as lepers and as if they are outcasts? My kids are one mistake away from trouble as all of ours are. If they stumbled I would be there to help them up. Maybe caring concerned people will help these kids . They are already broken, lets help them pick themselves up and continue to provide opportunities for them too.

I agree with you totally, But don't put this young men and women in a school with these children. Sounds like you are the one with a person over there, if not would you want your 12 and 13 year olds with people that at best if their life is stared out this bad the Jails is full of them as soon as the become of age. Mine would not be there sorry. At this tender age it scares the heck out of me. And if one gets hurt and I pray to God this don't happen ever Lawyer in this country will be all over it you can bet on that.

lawyers?tell me a lawyer that ever won a case of kids vs kids in knox county.and instead of addressing the issue you want to single them out and segregate them.that gives them a negative mentality.like the above poster said, our kids are one mistake away from being on that side.

I don't know, but something seems to be up. Comp Care sent one of the best child therapists they have over there. I saw him going in the other day. Maybe he can do some good with them.

Drug addiction, alcoholism, poverty, lack of work ethic, lack of goals, low graduation rates and general "sorriness" pervades our entire county. No area is without crime and deviance in our home county. We can all go 3/10 of a mile to get high, buy something stolen or get killed by a drunk driver. These kids being served by the school system deserve the opportunity to receive an education. Thank God we don't build colony schools here and isolate these kids from society. Why not expose them to an education, to caring people, a routine that includes nutritious food, interventions, academics,a nd other things that may make a difference? The Knox Learning Academy is on the campus of the middle school .it appears to be well managed . There are multiple children sitting next to your child and mine who has social, academic and possibly mental health related issues. Some may even have been involved in criminal activity. These troubled children are in every school iincluding Lynn camp knox central the middle school , and elementary schools. Maybe my kid or your will engage in a behavior that is delinquent . Thank god we have supports for themin the schools.Believe me,the regular schools all have kids with issues and problems .
