Kelly Sprinkles is pushing this new building way too hard not to have some kind of kick back. How much was spent with the Advocate for that full color page ad? Plus, he wrote a letter to editor and there was an article. On top of that he has used Facebook and the school systems webpage and TV 4 and everyone is sick of hearing about it. Our kids needs upgrades to buildings now and not a new building that they can use in 10 or 20 years.

I like the Facebook comment about how they can't afford soap and paper towels in the restrooms of the schools they already have!
<quoted text>
I absolutely do NOT support any tax increase!! There is do much waste in the school system and no accountability. Still useless jobs that are just leadership assistants!! No increases until a thorough audit of all jobs!!
A one % raise will just put you in a new tax bracket, and you wind up losing more money than you will get. When they hire people that dose not know what their doing I don't need to name them everyone already knows. With big salary's, all the new schools are high tech and you better know what's going on or you will wind up getting someone hurt. They seem to spend 500 dollars to save 50 cents, It has nothing to do about religion or who drinks or what it's about raising taxes on the poor people that barely are getting by now. Our tax base just cannot support a new school and you have got to maintain the buildings you have. When your buddy's come first, then you education takes a back seat, it's not about kids getting educated it all about the money. And at the end of the day who suffers.

need to start by cutting the board members pay and cut their mileage pay, we pay one board member mileage so he can drive from school to school making the staff unlock all closet and utility doors so he can see whats behind them, is this not a waste of school money or what, he needs to keep his big azz at the garage and quit wasting school money, if he wants more money for the school take it out of his own pockets, and lets see how much his business donates for the fancy sighn they want.

No wonder Knox Co stays at the bottom with the politics, favoritism, and pretense of those in charge! Look at the people in administration!

They have a good Superintendent, Only if he would stand up against the board members. I know they are the boss but, he will let them destroy him, I sure thought they would work together but apparently their split. Kelly needs to show what type of back bone he has, He needs to put his foot down and tell them he will run the School System and they need to back off. I bet it's some of the board members that wants a new school to make them look good at the cost of the Voters.
no way!

No way five school board members should have the power to raise taxes for something we could make due without! I'd like a new car but can make due just fine with the car I have!!
I also think there is way too much waste in the system that needs addressed before anything "new."

What a joke!! Poor kids they are not the reason for this tax increase!! These posers hide behind --"It's for the kids!"

.

I worked for the School System for 24years, and was forced out by K. Merida, and W. Hewlett because I knew what was going on. I know more about these schools than anyone, and the taxes was not raised while I was there. I saved them more money than I could count. But it comes down who you know and who is your buddy they have not seen nothin yet what it's going to cost to run the Schools. Just bad management at the cost of the tax payers. Will they raise taxes next year to I believe they will.

Print all the banners you want KC, everyone knows more than you think! I would be one pissed teacher if idiots made my rules. I bet most people in this county can't name the school board members and even more than that don't know what their job actually is.

You know why people don't show up at Board meetings, is simply people just don't care anymore.
There is no pride in the schools to Meany people saying that's not my job. And you cannot micromanage all the schools that is spread out over the county like ours.
