I think people should wear fart mufflers or catchers, I don't want to be forced to breath the air after its been farted out of peoples anuses. I get sick just thinking about it. Have you ever been on an elevator and someone fart, it's horrible? All towns and cities should have places to recycle and clean the farts after they've been trapped in your fart catcher.

OK, I had to quite smoking, very heavy smoker. You said " Every one could quit smoking today and a year from now the cancer rate and the other things attributed to second hand smoke will not change", not anything would change because the smoke and poisons that are in your body and everyone that you have exposed, will not evaporate into thin air, but after our generation has passed maybe the next one will have a chance.
“The profoundly anti-social nature of the second-hand smoke nonsense is summed up in advice offered by the U.S. Lung Association. It says you can protect yourself and your kids from second-hand smoke by keeping them away from “places where people usually smoke”:“This could include restaurants, relatives’ homes, cars, etc. The chemicals in tobacco smoke get into curtains, carpets, toys, furniture, walls, car seats, clothing, skin, and hair…”

Right! And this is why, irrespective of everything else, we need to fight them for all we’re worth. The emotional and social destruction caused by such things as forbidding Christmas visits to grandparents out of fear of their children being harmed by second hand smoke is MONSTROUS. The people spreading that kind of sick fear should be consigned to some of the deeper pits of hell.

Fart Stations!

10 cents per blast! We'd have to hire Mexicans to clean the nozzle's.

Roses department store in Corbin tried to pull that sh!t (no pun intended. I just crawled under.(Sue me, I guess I was at the time a criminal shitter)

Shhh, best not give these idols any ideas, we'll be charged for racking off, seriously!

Just think, we would have a whole new industry that would create millions of new jobs. Every home, building or office could have fart mufflers/catchers just like the portable units people would wear. When they got full just take them to the fart station so they can be recycled.

May be if all you smokers had enough manners to get out of the door ways of public places where people who don't want to breathe your smoke has to walk through it they would not have to put a ban on public places. If some one dose not smoke they should not have to breathe yours. Have a little respect for others.

Please apply a little common sense to things. If it were in fact “second hand smoke” causing this “stage 4 lung cancer” we’d all be up sh!t creek without a paddle considering all the diesel engines that run around us hauling our cakes and pies in for mass consumption.
Common sense tells us that just as second hand smoke does hurt people, the same goes for the pollution put out by gasoline engines. How would you like to be in an enclosed room with one of them babies running?

Hey, whilst we're on the subject of filling up...I got distracted and wound up deep on the dark side of the internet. But, anyway, you know that big large Ford sealership on the left right before you get into Corbin? On the back side, behind the “Arab beer store”, on the bypass really...They’re sure enough putting in a natural gas filling station. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it.(Never saw anything like that before).

I guess cars and trucks are fixing to be made to run on natural gas on a large scale or something <Shrugs>. I mean, I know they already can, and can be modified to do so. A lot of Delta Gas trucks have been running on it for years now. But that’s just an odd thing to me. A natural gas filling station going main stream. These non smokers will be sitting on the side's of the road out of “natural gas” all the time, because gassing up their Buick will burn their nose and eyes out.

Pour souls.

Grab you a jug a Jack Daniels and fire your jalopy up in your enclosed room . Set in there and admire your beautiful machinery and drink all night. Let us know how it turns out for you.

I’ll set here in my enclosed room and smoke all night, and drink me some Jack Daniels. We’ll exchange stories the next morning.

It's not surprising that people in B'ville would object to a common sense ban to protect the public health. They don't give two sh-ts that they are damaging the lungs of their young children, not to mention all of the other people they are harming. Selfish and not only wallowing in ignorance but proud of being stupid, we will plod on.

The easiest way to tell a smoker from a non smoker or a person who has quit, the non smoker will hit the scales at 100 to 200 lbs heavier than the smoker. The tree humping non smoker will usually be.... Fat ugly and crying about someone else that tells the tree humping non smokers to get flucked.

I have seen a lot of humor about a very serious subject. Smoking kills not only those that choose to smoke but the innocent victims that live with the smoker. I have worked to help people stop smoking for years. Every person that came to the program had a strong desire to stop smoking but the addiction was so strong over 70% usually was smoking again after 6 months. I have seen grown men cry because they knew they were dying from smoking but the cigarette had such a hold on they knew they couldn't give it up. I had a person tell me that his wife died from lung cancer because of his smoking around her for so many years and he was still grieving over it. I think that it is a misunderstanding when it comes to a smoking ban. No one is asking a smoker to not smoke. Smoking in public places is a health issue. The health of our children and those with compromised health is at risk when they are forced to breath the air emitted from a cigarette. Most smokers that I have worked with are very courteous and would rarely smoke in a building even if smoking is allowed. They wait until they are outside. All of our counties surrounding us have gone smoke-free. I watched my father smoke all his short life the unfiltered cigarettes. He had a heart attack in his early 30's and developed cancer and I lost him when he was 38. I was just getting ready to turn 9 when I watched him be buried. I hated cigarettes for taking him away from me. That is one of the reasons I worked with smokers to try to help them stop smoking. For those that was successful, they are so grateful for someone who took the time to care about them and help them overcome the addiction to nicotine. I hope this is a measure that is passed in the City of Barbourville and hopefully will be statewide soon.
