100 years ago we did not have Any of the listed taxes, We had the most prosperous middle class and Zero National Debt, If Fact we had a Surplus in revenues......

Things have changed since 1913. When a country grows so does taxes! Prosperity isn't free, someone has to pay for it! We have to have firemen, street lights, cops, sidewalks, schools, street signs, prisons and a lot more things that we didn't have to have in 1913..

Cars, telephones, electricity were pretty rare around here in 1913...
