I agree with you 100%, He is a local guy he so great with the kids and they all love him and they would play their hearts out for him. Also he is a Christian and has a back ground to prove it.

You better hope so if you want to have pride in your school. Why go somewhere else when you have a proven coach at home they tried it with others and it did not work.

One thing is almost certain, this is the year the KC Panthers should win the 13th region. They have the most talent and most experience in the area. If for some reason it does not all come together, which has been the case the past 44 years, will Patterson be the scape goat? No coaching above little league, no assistant coaching, without doubt a really good guy and a super talent as a player........but those do not always insure you are getting someone who can get the job done. Seems to me, if Knox Central really wanted to get serious about their sports programs they would have contacted several coaches outside their district. Stay tuned, from all indications a hire should be coming soon.

You all better hope it's not Patterson from what I have seen he's definitely not mature enough to handle it and he's not as nice as people think.

From my point of view, They better hire Tony Patterson if they won't to win. They ran Brandon Elam off he went to Florida and said that was the best move he has ever done. So if I was Tony if they did not hire me I would be just like Brandon, I would get the heck out of Dodge go somewhere where you would be appreciated. Play talent not parents, that has always been the problem at KC from Bill Sawford, Mr. Prewitt, and so on. I have seen them all Tony has more experience in Basketball than anyone in the county who else form KC went on to play Pro Basketball rest my case.

Proof read before you hit "post comment" . Looks like you were washing basketballs when you should have been in English class. Did you go to KC?

tony Paterson was probably on the best knox Central team I can remember. and they still choked because of all that winning he knows so much about I guess. I can learn more about basketball while making a truck payment then I could from hanging out with him

It will be Tim Parks from Clay county, current assistant under legendary Al Holland at Hazard. He has already made several visits to the "crew" at KC. He has the most experience, played college ball and coached for many years.

The latest word I am hearing is that the powers to be are looking at a Coach from New Mexico with Patterson coming on as an assistant coach to cut his teeth. Probably a one year deal with the outside hire regardles if it is the guy from New Mexico or the Parks dude.

Does anyone know when the interviews are taking place? Does anyone know a list of the coaches who are getting interviews?

Until they get a coach who will stop playing favorites (my daddy is the sheriff, etc.), they will never win. They need a coach who will put the best players on the team and the court, not according to who their parents are or how well off they are. This has been going on since I was there in the late 60's, early 70's.
