Not all people who need HUD are 'too lazy to work'. Don't stereotype and categorize us all together because we are not all alike.

Many are too lazy to work and would rather suckle the government tit but some of us would LOVE to have a job that pays enough to live on without government help.

I am not talking about getting rich off a job, either. Get real. There are not many jobs in this town that pay enough to pay rent, utilities, medical, dental, put food on the table, clothe you, etc. let alone make you rich.

Tell me about a job here that pays enough for all that plus pays for: a vehicle to get to said job, let alone the forced insurance, and exorbitant gas prices, as well as upkeep on said vehicle to get to said job, and not counting if you have children and have to pay for care of them while you work at said job.

Also, not counting if they go to school and you have to pay for those costs which include, but are not limited to, supplies, meals, shoes, clothing etc.

If you rude ass, immature, inbreeds knows of a job that pays that much please let us all know because I have a college education and I can't find a job here that pays that much. Most jobs here a person would be lucky to pay rent and electric!

So, before you tell us to move elsewhere, would you like to help defer the cost of that move?
I would GLADLY move elsewhere for a great job if I could afford to do so.

Melinda, ignore the hateful ass idiots on here. Some of those people making the nasty comments would piss their pants if they ever had no way to pay rent and needed to ask for help--but they would be right in line, too!!!

I called Knox HUD and they said the next sign-ups is on March 16 and to be there early because the line will be very long. If you dont get in to apply by end of the day you dont get help till the next sign up. I plan to go and be there around 7 a.m. and there will already be a line by then!

I'm retired because I did leave and find a job instead of crying the blues. I do what I want to do because I earned it,not by expecting the govt. to feed and house me. If you wanted to earn your keep you could. Do you think people came to me asking me to go to work for them? Some did at a later time when I became one of the best at what I do, but I would hound a business everyday until they hired me just to shut me up. I started out at $3.10 an hour in the 70's. Do you think that supported much even then? Quit whining and go get the job you want.

No idea I just know that is what the HUD lady told me over the phone so may be best to call ahead and find out because she may have had a typo on what she was looking at.

Easy enough if you don't have kids to support in the meanwhile. But I would lay dollars to donuts you live off the government tit like so many here do while crying that people should work so you can draw a check and ride around enjoying yourself....

I work everyday and if these sorry ass woman will get out and work they wouldn't need it, that's whats matter with this country is there's ppl think that the government owes them something, or they could take there kids and give them to there family's or a nother home or a while, so that the sorry ass whores would be out on the streets that's where they belong....
