1) The small bit of protection you give is all for a paycheck and the perks of being above the law. You couldn't care less about the people if you tried.
2) Really? I do not wish to drop names because children are involved and I for one like to believe I have more class than that, but I know of one who was able to purchase a brand new home WITH CASH and give his old one to his daughter, who was knocked up with a second illegitimate child. If you're a cop, you'll know who I'm talking about. You'll also know he would have had absolutely no legal way of being able to live so comfortably considering his and his wife's occupations. I wouldn't state it as fact, but I heard he was reselling pills he confiscated in order to make extra cash... And I wouldn't put it past him. I knew him when I was younger and he was a horrible man. Another example is below!
3) So you're going to generalize everyone with a uterus? That's nice. That's really nice. I personally don't know any women who would get anywhere near a cop due to how corrupt they are (not to mention a lot of them seem to be FAR below the physical standards they should be at for a job that is SUPPOSED to involve things like running), but keep living in your fantasy world where you seem to be dripping in pussy.
4)So rape and murder don't happen anywhere else? That's a very nice thing to know. Silly me, here I thought I knew someone who was raped by a cop who was then protected by his buddies, so nothing was every done about it. Oh well, I guess you know so much more than I do. May I please join your fantasy world? It seems so much nicer than this one. Are there unicorns?
If you're so miserable in your job, get a new one. You only needed six weeks of training, it's not like you wasted that much time. As for respect, you don't get it just by being alive or by carrying weapons that end up being used against children. You have to EARN it. I don't know about you, but I was raised with the phrase "You're known by the company you keep". In your case, you associate with people who, through their actions, deserve no respect, therefor giving people the assumption that you don't either.
1. Yeah and you'd know because you were there for every DV call I went to. Fuck you.

2. You're using one example to stereotype the lot of us. That doesn't prove anything. I said earlier that there were cops on the take. I don't know these people. They make up a small percentage of us.

3. I never said that everything with a uterus loved cops. I said that women love a man in uniform and some love cops. This is true, deal with it. Just because you're not one of these people doesn't make it any less of a fact. Also, we have PT at our department and it's mandatory. So once again. Stereotype.

4. You were using one of the WORST examples to try and prove a point. I just pointed out what happened in your perfect country without law enforcement.

Another common misconception is the amount if time it takes to train us so we can protect shitheads like you. It took me 6 months to get my Peace Officer certificate. Not 6 weeks.

And I can't just quit my job. I'm ten years in and I have a family to support. What a lot of you don't understand is that most of us are here to do a job. I'm here to do it until retirement.

With all the things I've seen and people I've stopped, I know I've earned the right to wear a badge. And there's people out there like me.

I had a gut feeling that there was an education behind the skill. Doesn't necessarily mean I'm right.

I've been living in Barbourville for around 10 years now, and for the first five years was harassed endlessly by the ones here. They still try occasionally (I was given a ticket for not wearing my seat belt from Family Dollar to the Dairy Queen parking lot in town once, to give you an idea of the "crimes" I commit to earn their attention), but they have stopped bothering me for the most part once I got a better job and turned 18 (AKA, they no longer get bonuses for me being underage or for low income). Hell, when I was 16, one of them told me they going to "get me" because I was openly not a Christian. I was not going around protesting or causing trouble or anything, but I simply wasn't a part of that religion. Even a friend of mine was pulled over once by another one who threatened to write her up for speeding (when she wasn't) unless she would sleep with him. She took the ticket. I could go on for hours about the things I know they do (extended family members are close friends with some of them through church), but I believe that should be enough. Excuse me for not appreciating the harassment, but I believe that's fully uncalled for.
I apologize for such a badly written paragraph. Trying to fit in a lot of information in a small space at this time doesn't seem to be a strong point for me.
You're from Kentucky right? Am I right? I think 'KY' stands for Kentucky.

What makes you think all cops are like that? I live in Oregon and the force here isn't friendly, but they arrest the right people... Sorry I think the world's better off without drug dealers and gangs.

1) That's nice. So much for "to serve and protect", right? You can't come up with an excuse so you result to fighting like a child just learning to curse? THAT makes me take you seriously and really believe you're a good person.

2) Really? A small percentage? In my entire life I've never come across a decent cop. Not even one. Hell, when I was in KCHS, there was one who was demoted who was still pretending to have a gun. He would stand around with his hand on his belt like it was there while classes changed. I also know for a fact that when he was a full cop and not a rent-a-cop, he maced children. A family friend's daughter was 13 or 14 and he maced her, while him and another full grown man were arresting her for cursing in public. Either I have horrible luck, or the stats are far worse than you want to admit.

3) Lol. Just... Lol. There are no words to summarize how absurd you sound.

4) So you didn't do the same? You want to call stereotype, I'll call hypocrite. Crime rates went down, I never said they went away. I'm pretty sure that's an improvement considering that, in your example, those same things still happen with your kind around. It's a horrible thing, but at least the rest of the world views them as people and not a paycheck bonus waiting to happen.

Really? I've heard straight from those cops who know parts of my family that its only six weeks. Either you got ripped off, or you're full of shit. Are you really too stupid to understand how to change jobs without just quitting? That's quite sad. You're on the internet, maybe you should learn how to google. Or perhaps you should learn how to be honest.

I see you aren't from here (which highly makes me question WHY you're on this forum... But I'm only here for lawls, so I suppose I can't judge). Please read previous posts to answer your questions. These cops harass women and children on a constant basis, as well as steal from innocent people for their own gain. This town is filled with drug dealers (Anyone here can tell you that), but they don't bother with them. They may bust one or two occasionally, but then they do things like post IN THE NEWSPAPER where they're going to bury it and when cops will and will not be stationed there... Then act surprised when it "goes missing" (AKA, the cops keep it for themselves). Then the dealers spend a few weeks in jail, just to get released and go right back to it. After all, you can't take away the cops suppliers, right? Oh, and before someone says they don't know where they're at or where the drugs are, that's bullshit. I've never even smoked a cigarette (I respect my body too much), and through highschool I could tell you exactly where the cheapest dealers were from hearing others talking about it. If children know it, the cops know it.
As for gangs, around here we don't have any. It's almost pure white, and too small to bother. I can't speak for other places on the subject due to absolutely no experience with it, but I highly doubt the cops are doing that much about it.

'Real men' sounds like a 'Real loser', who has an issue with the authorities. I for one never got in trouble with the law. So I can't really say much about them. And any woman that loves a man only for the uniform isn't worth it. Been there done that in the Army.

My ex-wife (of 3 years) has worked at a Michigan court for about 7 years. About 90% of the cops that walked through her work area flirted with her. Most of the cops were married. We have 2 kids. She finally selected one (that was married /w 3 kids) and started banging him. He got caught, got divorced now has been introduced to my kids. They even look up to him.

There should be a special punishment for State employees like my ex- and her new lover who cheat on company time as well as "sick" days. I've see it with my own eyes.

There isn't one cop that doesn't know about at least one other cop cheating on his wife or banging someone elses. If you complain to their boss (mostlikely his boss has cheated too). They cover for each other and will make trouble for you if you don't have strong proof. The only thing good about it is that I have strong proof & get out of tickets all the time.
