In the Jailer’s race, another Democrat threw his hat into the ring. He’s Mike Baker, 60, of Barbourville, who filed against Clyde Trent, Jr. in the May primary. That winner will face the winner of a crowded field on the Republican side, with incumbent Mary S. Hammons, Keith “Buster” Liford, Doug Gibson, Elbert Mills, Jr., Danny Stark and Marty Hollin all on the ballot.

Mike baker is a good man and I respect him. He has my family and friends vote. He has worked his whole life. His sister worked at Warner's and the bank her whole life til cancer and his brother David builds houses. He is a well educated man, he will listen to concerns and he will address problems. He is the man for the job.

Even if you are republican you can vote for whoever in the fall. I am republican but Mr. Baker will get my vote in the fall, sorry can't help him in the first race. Knox county needs baker for jailer

I like Mike also. Let's say that something happened that when the November election comes around and he drops out who would you want to see as jailer?

Keep up with your payments gator so you can have ride to the polls in May. If you can't make that payment next month you may have a politician help you.

I suppose the current jailor took it off so no one would remember that it had been removed so certain people's names and faces didn't end up on it. The sheriff said it was to protect the innocent since they aren't guilty until court time found them that way. If they are arrested then they are guilty enough to raise a doubt or they wouldn't be in jail. It's all about the money and who can pay to keep their little girls picture or name being posted for the whole town to see. Everyone knows that you are guilty until proven innocent. It used to be the opposite when this world was worth living in. Now it's whomever has the most money as to who will be guilty or not.

Yea, I was upset when this jailtracker site was taken down. Seemed JM had a hand in that decision but not hearing much about the current situation at all. Just what I read on here and see on the t.v.
Just hear a little positive stuff right now. lol

I really like his sister Sharron, she used to wait on me at the bank and I was really sad to see her leave. His brother David is the best carpenter in Knox county. He built my house. Mike is also a fine carpenter. He can probably teach the inmates a few carpentry skills.
