My son died April 22. 1988. I miss him so much, especially during the holidays. It seems like it was only yesterday. The loss of a child is something that I pray about everyday and as I see on here others have been in my shoes. To all parents that have lived through this I would like to tell you I LOVE YOU. I see friends on here also going through some recent losses. Stay strong and think as I do "For Every Season There Is A Reason, the BIBLE tell us that and that GOD has a plan for them. I LOVE YOU...MSM..FEB.7,1965 - April 22, 1988.

My First Christmas in Heaven
I see the countless
Christmas trees
around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars,
reflecting on the snow
The sight is so spectacular,
please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with
Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs
that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare
with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you,
the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description,
to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me,
I see the pain inside your heart.
But I am not so far away,
We really aren't apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones,
You know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift,
from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory
of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious
than pure gold.
was always most important
the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other,
my Father said to do.
I can't count the blessing or love
has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and
Wipe away that tear
Remember, I am spending Christmas with
Jesus Christ this year

heres a poem that makes me think of my neice Skylar who died of SIDS in April of 2003..

If Tears Could Build A Stairway

If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane,
I would walk right up to Heaven
and bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken,
no time to say "Goodbye".
You were gone before i knew it,
and only God knows why.
My heart still aches with sadness,
and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to love you-
No one can ever know.
But now i know you want me
to mourn for you no more;
To remember all the happy times,
life still has much in store.
Since you'll never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today-
A hollowed place within my heart
is where you'll always stay.

The Christmas Poem above was read at my sister's Memorial Funeral after she passed away Dec. 13, 2004 following a car accident. How ironic that I read it here during this time of the year. It brings back a lot of feelings, thoughts, tears, and aches. I miss her everyday, but we all have the promise of seeing her again one day. I am envious of her for already having her mansion and I cannot wait to have mine.
