When gas drops below 3 dollars, you can take that extra dollar that bush the oil president charged to keep gas around 4 dollars and give it back to the government! Last time I looked around here we are pretty low income with Wally world being one of our biggest business leaders, very sad!
If gas prices can be lowered right now, here so close to election time, why not the rest of the time?

No, I am a proud Democrat that thinks very well for his self, I don't need the rich to tell me what to do! I do not, as I said before I draw no assistance from the government, I pay my own health insurance and my wife has health insurance at work! The majority of Knox County are Republicans and vote republican, Take a look at the first of the month, seems to be a lot of government assistance in the County!

gas prices fell because Saudi Arabia is stockpiling their reserves, the U.S. is producing more from domestic wells and demand isn't matching supply. More they produce, less is costs.

Why is it my responsibility to pay for medical coverage for others outside my immediate dependents/family? This is an honest question. I'm not trying to argue. "It's the right thing to do" rhetoric that is so often spewed from the mouths of liberals is not a valid argument, btw. What I consider "right", and what a liberal considers "right", is going to be on opposing ends of the spectrum. I've yet to get a good answer from anyone.
was it a good idea to you then, when the conservative right proposed individual mandates way before Obama was in office?

Romney on the mandate:

As it turns out the tax penalty in the president's health care law was modeled after the reform plan passed in Massachusetts under then governor Mitt Romney.

In a 2009 interview with CNN, Romney explained how the Massachusetts health care mandate worked. If the state's residents decided to forgo health insurance when they could afford it, Romney said they would face the loss of a tax exemption. In other words, they would be assessed a tax.

"There are a number of ways to encourage people to get insurance and what we did, we said 'you're going to lose a tax exemption if you don't have insurance,'" Romney told CNN in the interview.

The former Massachusetts governor said the mandate was necessary to achieve universal coverage in the state.

In order to qualify for the tax exemption, Romney added "...you gotta have health insurance because we want everybody in the system. No more free riders."

During the interview Romney held up his health care law as a model that "could inform Washington on ways to improve health care for all Americans."

Since then, Romney has said repeatedly his plan was meant for Massachusetts only.

How the Heritage Foundation, a Conservative Think Tank, Promoted the Individual Mandate

Stuart Butler’s lecture describes what the Heritage’s mandate would look like:

" We would include a mandate in our proposal–not a mandate on employers, but a mandate on heads of households–to obtain at least a basic package of health insurance for themselves and their families. That would have to include, by federal law, a catastrophic provision in the form of a stop loss for a family’s total health outlays. It would have to include all members of the family, and it might also include certain very specific services, such as preventive care, well baby visits, and other items."

Right... You just keep thinking that. Can you not see right thru him YET? You think this wonderful gas price is going to be what it is today or next month come, let's say, Christmas. December.?
I hope everyone is stockpiling some of this cheaper gas up.

By the way, haven't you wondered why demand isn't matching supply? Where's all this production going on of all this gas?

The medicaid expansion seems like a good idea to many, but worries me because our state is already in a financial mess and addin that many more people to Medicaid will break us for sure. Heck, state employees had their paychecks held this pay period to balance out the budget how's that fair? They work and do their jobs and get the raw end of the deal. No raises, furlough days and pay hecks held past payday so the state don't have to cut Medicaid spending????? I don't wanna see anyone suffer either but I don't know how we will thrive with these changes.

Demand hasn't changed, supply has, it's up. All the production increases have taken place in the U.S. and Saudi. those two break even at 80 dollars a barrel, everyone else breaks even at 100 dollars.

I can't speak for everyone else, but it's my opinion that the Government should not be allowed to force a Citizen to Buy anything, against their will.

Please, do not try and compare it to Car Insurance. Because it's Apples and Oranges.

The government has been taking Social security out of peoples pay check since 1935. The money is automatically taken from your paycheck. There isn't an opt in, there isn't an opt out. You don't have a choice.. Everyone needs health insurance just like everyone needs to save for when they are old and can't work anymore.
