My prior post seems to have disappeared so I am re-posting, with some amendments. My apologies if the post goes up twice due to any lag Topix may have.

I am thinking about running for Mayor of Barbourville in the next election.

A bit about myself and what I stand for [which I am NOT here to debate about]: I am a grandmother, college educated, Christian faith. I love God, people, music, animals, nature, and life in general, and I want to see everyone do well. My ideas and beliefs are non-negotiable.

I support smaller government and that the laws and rules, as well as the punishments, that apply to the common people also apply to those who have active roles in government jobs.

I support the First and Second Amendments {and the rest of the Constitution!} and I am Pro-Life.
I support gun safety education in classrooms, as well as disaster and survival education for all citizens.

I support sending illegals back to where they came from, not giving them immunity, and not taking care of them on the tax payers dollars.

I support community gardens and helping our fellow citizens but only by choice. I do not believe in forcing people to help others. I do believe in everyone doing their part to help support themselves and their families.

I support welfare reform that will allow for those in need to receive benefits for only a certain period of time, allowing them to get educated and get a job in the meanwhile.

I support pushing for child support for non-paying parents but I do not support putting those parents in jail who do not pay as ordered.

I support individual freedoms that seem to be disappearing by the day.

I support marijuana and hemp reform that will take the non-violent offenders out of jails and off the tax payers dollar.

I support very stiff penalties for drunk drivers, sex offenders, child abusers, and for meth and pill dealers.

I support a lessened role of social workers in the lives of parents and their children, except in severe cases of child abuse and/or neglect.
I also support the monetary incentive for placing foster children in adoptive homes being totally dropped.

I support entertainment being brought in for children, teens, and adults of all ages.

I support bringing in education/training, businesses, and entertainment that will create jobs and get people off the welfare rolls.
I also support making Barbourville a wet area in order to help bring in said jobs and entertainments.

I support growth and progress for Barbourville and all of Knox County.

I support pushing for education reforms that will allow students to become better educated and therefore able to get jobs after school is completed. I also support sex education as a pregnancy and STD preventative.

I support drivers education for all 15 year old students [who must carry a grade average of C in all classes], and that all 16 year olds who want a drivers license must have satisfactorily completed at least one semester of drivers education prior to testing, two being preferable.

I support bringing God [prayer] back to schools, if the students so choose, even if this means creating a

private area for them to take a prayer break.
I support bringing back the Pledge of Allegiance for all students.

Now my question is, how many of you would consider voting for a lady who supports these things?

And just how exactly would a man be able to pay it if he is sitting in jail not earning money? A person can't make a living sitting in jail, so then can't pay it for sure. Putting a person in jail doesn't fix the issue. All it does is have us taxpayers take care of the parent who is sitting in jail.

My question would be, how would things be done so the custodial parent gets the money needed to care for the offspring?

Actually that would make you the dumbass because she didn't day she would be able to do all that stuff. She simply said she supports it. You obviously do not understand have government works or you would know that no politician can get much of anything done unless the ones in power with them agree to it!

Hence, supporting something and being legally able to actually do it is always two different things, which is what makes uneducated voters think a politician is full of sh*t.

Would I vote for this lady? You betcha! At least she has good ideas and is very well spoken, seems to be very intelligent and educated. She sounds like she actually has the good of the community in mind and not just lining her pockets!

""I support bringing God [prayer] back to schools, if the students so choose, even if this means creating a

I support bringing back the Pledge of Allegiance for all students.""

Had my vote until you wrote that.I want my kids to learn to read, write etc. Not the least bit concerned with catering to what can be percieved as superstition. Will every version of GOD be given their equal prayer time? Or only your version? Separation of state and religion was a well thought out part of the constitution.

I support the Pledge in its original form , when one nation under god was not a part of it.

I wsa about to believe there for a minute that this was a hokes post by Jason Lake aka lying lake to see what kind of support he would have since he got beat for city council but then I realized he would never be smart enough to even come close to having this much brain to think of all these different points. I bet he has went threw a whole bunch of pairs of pants since the nees of his pants are wore down from sucking david Thompson and ronny messer so hard. he told my cousin that works next to his place that ronny was giving him a ton of poker machine money to save up to run for mayor. lake is the biggest suck ever and lie bag.
