the words they give you for the test are pretty easy if you are applying for the fbi. a few i can remember were pretty simple you can spell decent. if you can get on the fbi, i would, because it is alot better than the cis project. just be prepared for supervisors who really dont know how to supervise and hr that is the worst hr person i have ever seen. if you need a job like you say, you should take it. but it is a pretty crappy place to work. you can handle fbi if you can handle doing the same stuff over and over again everyday. it is repetative, but you can do it if you just think about your family you are going to support.

It's fairly easy to get hired there, the turnover rate is high, they hire often. Mostly for CIS and FBI. You just need to pass the basic knowledge and data entry tests and the background screening.
The test are not very hard. Honestly, it is not a bad place to work, it pays good and most of the people are wonderful. Good luck!

The training is during the day. Its 8-5 I think they told me. How long after you take the test is it before you get a call to come do the training? Does everyone start out on evenings after training? I was under the impression it was days because I have kids that would be a hard shift

It can take a couple of weeks sometimes to get called for training. If you work for the CIS side, training is about 4 weeks long. They usually finish a class, then call in another class. Training is usually a day shift, but not always and once training is over you usually start out working the latest shift, and it can take quite a while to get moved to days.

When you take your test your notified right then if you pass. If you pass your interviewed. Then if they decide to hire you (you'll also know that day) your given a written job offer you sign it and are fingerprinted then given a slip to go take a drug test. You will be given a start date the same day. You will have several e-mails from CSC you will have to respond to. The training is mon-fri 8:00-5:00 and last two weeks for CIS. When you are moved to the floor your shift is determined by seniority. The older workers get the earlier shifts.

stay away from that place! they will cut your hours because of thier 'budget'. All the managers have thier favorites and you will never be one. The janitors and guards also steal clothes and office supplies out of your desk when no one is there!
