no I payed my budget payment, my actual usage payment was $187 I did not pay that amount, I will only pay the budget amount until my settle month, then we settle up, if I own them I pay, or if I have over paid then they pay me. Sorry if I made anyone think I had paid the actual billing amount, just my budgement amount. Again, sorry if I may have misled anyone.

The kwh rates and the sur-charges are all approved by the public service commission in Frankfort, for all utility companies. The only way we can get relief is cut down on consumption. It is not something Hal can do a lot about. I read an article some time ago and K.U. had the lowest kwh rates in the nation, no way can the co-ops compete with K.U. on cost to the customer....Hal or not. If you are on RECC you will pay more.

You have to eat, or stave to death, bottom line. It's gotten to the point of picking between paying your R.E.C.C bill or eating.

If I'm not mistaken R.E.C.C buys their electricity from K.U.... K.U. buy theirs from T.V.A. So, seeing as how recc buys from ku, you can figure your bills will be more, but triple is a little over kill.

K.U again, if I'm not mistaken was bought out by some Asian company. Every since they were bought out, they've went in front of the commission asked for a raise for everything. Even a stumped toe.

I have K.U. and have been on RECC and Barbourville Electric the RECC is the highest Barbourville Electric is next There is a + and a - with about everything if you are on KU or RECC you are more then likely in the area where the water is high and no good for drinking if you are on Barbourville Electric then you have good water and its not as high so you just have to weigh out the difference and see which you rather have if you Rent you have the chance to move no matter what Electric CO you have your electric will be higher in a Mobile Home if you heat with Electric if its not in good shape and well insulated.

I actually did choose to pay to electric bill and cut way back on groceries and cooking. We also turned the heat down, turn off and unplug everything that is not in use at the moment. Sure hope it helps. Minimum wage jobs don't allow for this kind of bill.

you shouldn't have to pick to let your kids go hungry or pay electric. If you get a raise at work or ssi or whatever you are drawing. All these greedy people here you get a raise they they raise the prices on food ,gas electric cloths just to get what you just got.
