Need help getting Chitka adware removed
Posted in the Barbourville Forum
My computer has a Chitka adware virus. I've tried Microsoft Security Essentials, Malware Bytes, AdAware, Super Anti Spyware (at different times) but they do not help. The adware is hidden in some file and the spyware programs do not detect it. Any suggestions?

I did some research and found 2 solutions that I would try.
Whenever I have an issue I update all my programs (Malwarebytes, Adaware, Spybot S&D and then restart in safe mode and run them all at once. Full scans. Do it when you go to bed or something and do not have a browser open at the time as they cannot remove items that are running.
Check your installed programs (add/remove programs) by date as well, because a lot of times you can see a group of junk you didn't download all come in on the same date recently.
I also like running CCleaner after it's all done as when you uninstall. The registry part will remove unused or broken registry entries that get left behind by poorly written uninstall programs.
