I've seen no new construction for several weeks now. Does anyone know what the delays are?

Yeah, supposed to have an olympic sized pool, walking track and fitness equipment. The construction site is located in that large area near the floodwall at the end of 3rd Street(I think that's the street).

I have no problem with them allowing the Pirhana and the local high schools swim teams using the facilities. It is up to us to make sure enough time is still alloted for all other residents to use the pool for exercize and therapeutic sessions. Don't be against something because you're afraid only the rich will be allowed to use it. You have to stand up for your rights.

We need to also understand the purpose of a pool at a wellness center. It isn't designed to be operate like the water park or a public pool. It has to have alloted time for therapeutic uses.

It's a shame that area never developed after all these years. The government has to put something there.

There have been several new homes go up in the past couple of years on adjacent property as well as an assisted living facility under construction now.

It seems to me to be a bit of a swampy area but I guess it can be drained appropriately.
