Every time I use my computer I get a pop-up message that says I need to install a flash player. I already have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed. The message is not from Adobe but calls itself dl.v2. madools.com . The pop-up also says Flash Player v. 11391exe. Is this a virus trying to get me to install something? If so, how do I get rid of it and keep it from popping-up? I have ran virus scans that show nothing. Your help is appreciated.

How can I get rid of it? Microsoft Security Essentials scans show nothing--but it's obviously there on my computer.

Malware Bytes and Microsoft Security Essentials are both good but will not solve the problem. Go to the link below & download an older version of Flash player that fits your system (not too old maybe the version older than the 1 you have). Once downloaded, Uninstall the version you have, then restart your computer and install the older version & once installed make sure to turn off automatic updates and restart the computer. Once the computer restarts, you should NOT have anymore pop ups from flash.. I have done this many times.. If you try to just let it update the pop up will make you pull your hair out.

I have had the same problem myself for a while until I installed internet explorer 10. if you don't use internet explorer then download and use Mozilla firefox. believe me the problem is with internet explorer and not your computer.

I use only firefox and i had the same problem. It is NOT IE 10. If you do what i posted before it will take care of the problem. It is NOT the browser.
