Sad that your only sense of having an effect on people is trying to argue with anonymous users on a website. Sorry to disappoint whatever world you built up in your mind, but I was only pointing out that political trolls have continuously driven this thread off topic.
can you explain the concept this poster provided, or debate the facts without name calling.
I challenge you, now you challenge me.:)

It's pathetic how some people build their entire identity by argueing pointless crap on here. It's like they just sit around refreshing the page waiting to respond by just repeating the same dribble over and over. They make no one uncomfortable...lol

I recruited in Queens New York for the Army. No wonder you left. The embarrassment must have been unbearable. The lowest scores in the Eastern RS District.

The "pointless crap" is not a matter of understanding or not understanding, but this inner need for a debate with words typed on a screen by some unknown identity and debated from the safety of an alias. I don't believe that is a display of moral fortitude either, just entertainment. Have fun. LOL

<quoted text>They have found that dumbing a high school graduate down to the previous fifth grade level was what it took to pass most of the the kids when segregation of the schools was ended in the 60s.
Otherwise there would be way too many left back who had to repeat too many times for the teachers to enjoy extravagant pensions and benefits.
It just cost way to much to get them all smart for the teacher's taste.
That's where it stands right now.
Wealthy teachers and dumb kids.

I checked out the grading scales of local schools. Both school systems have dumbed down their grades. Parents see a bunch of As on Junior's report card and think that the kid is doing what was A work when they were a kid. Not so. Having a bunch of kids on the honor roll is a way of bragging to the community and fooling the parents. One schools bragged that 100% of their seniors graduated. Big deal. That school does not fail anybody.

I look at my kids' assignments, and they do things in school now that most of you never did and could not do now.

Schools are better now than ever.
