Can you people get any lazier? You want the handouts but don't even want to stand up long enough to go to the place and do the paperwork. Must be a real winner.

Well, I know a guy who got his S.S.I. on the phone without ever setting foot in the office. He was in his twenties at the time. He was healthy as a horse and uses his check to stay drunk. He has been in jail for PI or DUI many times since getting a check to buy his booze.

Well Guss for your information smartass I've had them before but was cut when I lived w my parents. I'm a 20 yr old female with A JOB, I don't sit on my lazy ass all day & I ACTUALLY NEED THEM. I shouldn't have to choose between food & paying bills / student loans. I was just hoping there was an easier way as every time I've BEEN DOWN THERE it's nothing but a headache.

Hey Deadbeat,
You don't need stamps!
You need to learn responsibility!
You should be held accountable to pay your student loan debt. You took it on!
Get another job if need be or join the military!
You deserve to be held themselves accountable for the situation you've created, not given handouts!

I didn't own a car until I had earned my bachelor's and then master's degrees -- and even then it was a used car. Too many of today's young people don't know the difference between needs and wants. I put myself through college, worked mega-hours, rode a bicycle, and prepared home made, frugal meals. I didn't go shopping for new clothes. I rarely went out. I worked two 20-hour jobs in graduate school while taking a full load of classes. I had to take out student loans to make up the difference of what I needed and and I paid back every penny -- on time.

Am I the only one that believes when you borrow money you are supposed to pay it back??? Ridiculous!
You want ME the tax payer to feed you just because you don't feel like honoring your loan?
You are scum!
Your everything that is wrong with this country today; this sense of entitlement.
I hope you starve!

This area is ate up with a bunch of lazy, freeloading commies.
It's disgusting.

You made your bed, you lay in it!

I couldn't have said it better myself. Lazy is the in thing now. The younger people think they are owed something insted of earning it. If the truth be known the girl posting probably has kids and isn't married or wasn't married when they were concieved either.

Get another job. When you earn something it tastes better even if it's hamburger helper. By the way, no one ever accused me of being smart, just an ass.

Well at least we can read and comprehend. As for myself I did graduate and have some college, if the other poster of like mind is truthful, and I believe they are, then they certainly go way beyond high school. Now why don't you go back to brushing your tooth and don't forget to kiss your mommy goodnight. people like you that support the give aways and monthly handouts are what is wrong with this country. You don't mind holding out your hand, but don't ask you to show up at the welfare office, it might interrupt your Jerry Springer viewing time.

All you need to do with SSI is to provide your medical records to an attorney and they will make all the appearances for you. All you have to do is wait to get approved, then sit back and check your mail box monthly unless you have direct deposit.

Damn, politics and Fox news has done a fine job of turning American against American. Ain't no helping hand anymore. If you're on the side of the road with a flat tire, people will drive right on by you anymore, and possibly give you the finger. This country will go down the tubes with people at each others throats, and thatís exactly where they (The politicos want us). I've changed three flats for people I didn't even know within the last two weeks. One pour little gal even offered to hand me $20 bucks. I told her, "If you really need that you keep it". Told her three times, but she insisted that I take it, and seemed she wouldn't have it any other way, so I reluctantly took it.

Damn folks, thatís how people survived back in the depression, neighbors helping neighbors. Bartering to survive, and everyone tried to help everyone else. It's sure going to be rough if we have to go into another depression with the attitudes that a lot of people have now days. They'll be people dying in the streets, and folks walking by holding their noses screaming at the dead "GET A JOB". We've sent or sold damn near everything that we once built by hand in this country overseas.

But I digress. I just don't get how someone can hate another person with such vile. Damn, I'm sure in no shape to change a tire to be honest, but I'll be damned if I'll walk past my fellow American and give them the finger. It's sure depressing to see people with hearts of stone.

I totally agree with what you said. I just get tired of people not even putting an effort into living before they have their hand out looking for someone else to take care of them and their 3 or 4 kids that each have a different daddy. I grew up poorer than dirt, but I always worked so I wouldn't be that way as an adult. Even then and now things are rough but I still provide for me and mine. Thank you for being the exception.

Actually why would I lie about my status right now? Hell, if I had 2 or 3 kids by different dads and not married, why not be like the rest of Knox County & not give a shit to let it show? ACTUALLY I am 19 almost 20, and I work around 21 hours a week, mainly because I'm LUCKY to have found the job I did around here. I've never seen someone so sour, disgracing someone because they need HELP. I have been on foodstamps where I used to live & that is not the life I want to live. But hell, I believe if somebody needs help BECAUSE THE JOB THEY HAVE WONT EVEN PAY THE ELECTRIC BILL, hell, help em! By no means am I the trash that walks around this county expecting everything handed to them. & Mr, if you're so against people getting stamps, then why the hell are you on topix at 12 or 1 at night, when you should be in bed for your luxury job that you get money for doing nothing but scratching your ass?? All I wanted was an answer to my damn question.

I guess any excuse is better than none. Let me tell you something young lady. I will do as I please because I did work my ass off to get the priviledge to do that. I have worked two jobs, I have gone to work one morning and not get home until three or four the next morning and show up for the start of the next shift at seven the same morning. I've pulled twelve hours a day seven days a week for months at a time. So no snot nosed whimpering brat is going to question why I do anything. That goes for any adult also.Get off your ass and do something beside being on here arguing with someone that has been there and doesn't feel sorry for you one bit.

I worked every since I was 9 years old, believe it or not. I worked cash paying jobs. Why, I don't really know. At the time, I thought that was the way to go, cash in my hands, and better pay. I was young, and thought I'd always be young, and never get joint pains in ever joint in my body, never get down in my back, because I was strong as an ox. So having to need governed help later in in life never occurred to me. But sure enough, the pain started creeping in from working in the log woods, and at saw mills. And construction jobs. Lifting 3/4 inch flooring up to the second floor by hand all day long. Working my ass off, working like a dog. Now, yeah, I sure need the help, that's for sure. But back then I NEVER even thought about that.

So, since I worked for cash all my life, I am on SSI, so I'm a fcking lowlife deadbeat that "NEEDS TO GET A JOB" to hear others tell it thatís never worked near as hard as I have in my life. I went before a Administrative Law Judge and won my case. He had in front of him, and brought up jobs that I had even forgotten doing. His exact words were "In view of your excellent work history" I am going to award you your case for total disability.

So, when you burger flippers get on here telling people to GET A JOB, maybe they have had a job, or jobs. Jobs thatís paid more than yours ever will, and maybe they've worked harder in their life then you ever will. I just don't get why people can help their fellow man anymore, rather than just shoving them down and kicking them while they're down. I thought America was the ;land where Americans helped Americans, not talked to them like trash and spit on them because they were having a rough time in life. Maybe all thatís change.

ay that person no mind. they know nothing of you situation. They're just an ole sour puss prune. If i had the money, I'd help you anyway i could. And no, you never asked me for a hand out. I offered, because that's just the way i am.

Good luck, and ignore the sour arses.

For you information, I've never been a burger flipper nor am I a sour puss prune. The girl put her situation on a public forum numbnuts. I'm all for helping someone that needs help and have done it many times. She said she had been on foodstamps before, so what does that tell you? There are jobs out there instead of just sticking your hand out. Hell, she doesn't even want to have to go stand in line or put up with what she calls the runaround. Now that's lazy and I don't care what you call it or what she calls it. The truth is the truth. She has the time to sit on here bellyaching but not to go downtown. Yeah, that makes sense. Now I'm done with both of you.
