For a computer to run DECENTLY, it needs at least 1024MB of RAM or more. Also, 80 GB is decent too, but you can get much more very cheap. And ha, Windows XP is officially obsolete my friend. That computer has potential, but it's just a money pit!
you can get 4 more years use out of xp they have stoped all suport for sp2 and under if your pc isnt running xp sp3 you want get any updates for it and thier stopping suport for xp sp3 in 2014.
they are officially doing away with xp it was a get os vista sucks i love windows 7 and i cant what till windows8 comes out next year.ive get too play around with a laptop that had the leacked windows 8 on it god its so cool.
i am in the middle of building a great cheap gamer a 2.6 ghzs dual core it be running 4 gb ram a 1gb video card windows 7 64 bit and thinking about putting in a 2 tb hard drive i may keep this one for my bed room ill have less then 200 in it .

Yeah, Windows XP may be "Supported" by Microsoft, but all that means is that you're technically insured if something happens to the point it ruins you or your business' productivity. Newer games, hardware, and more are to not be supported by XP as they will require new technology to run. Windows XP is only useful to ancient computers and cheap ass people who claim to be hackers. Also people that are selfishly set in their ways. Plain and simple.

Look, unless that keyboard is clear, and lights up, and has touchscreen style volume controls and etc., you got your self ripped off big time. So, just because you were stupid enough to fall for something like that, doesn't mean you can make someone else fall for it. You got to understand; Take this for example.

PAY ATTENTION!:
Say you have a very valuable diamond. It's "Worth 1 million dollars." You payed only half a million dollars. Now you're wanting to sell it and hoping to break even or even make some profit. Now, here's your PROBLEM. ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING is only "WORTH" what someone else is willing to give you for it. Do you understand what that means? It means in today's awful economy, no one is going to fork out money for something that old and obsolete and pay even more for this oh so legendary keyboard you supposedly have. Plain, and simple.

Sorry Mike, but there is more to determining a computer's value than just that sticker located on the system. You got to check the cache, the actual speed of the ROM drives, HDD, and RAM. You guys aren't as bright as you think you are.

your right about You having to check the cache and the actual speed of the ROM drives, HDD, and RAM and what softwares is on it .theirs alot of things that afects the value of a pc or a laptop also the condition its in afects the value of a pc or a laptop and the os afects the value big time .
and most ppl put windows 7 on pc or laptops that either dont have a video card good enough too run windows 7 or enough on board video to run it . i've seen ppl trying too sale laptops and pcs with only 512mb ram in them and windows 7 or its vista with a windows 7 tranformation pack on it i can't stand that.

Exactly true. It's just she's trying to charge people for her sentimental value for the system that what the actual market worth for it is.

they will last longer than that. mine didnt because something got poured down throw the air vent and damaged the mb. So I ordered a new am3 m.b took a compaq case the part out of the emachine and built a new one. Those little emachine can handle 8gig of memory. The Emachine im using is a standard size case. It a really good one. it came with a amd athlon x2 2.8ghz 6gigs ddr 2 -800mhz, 750 seagate h.d. just added a seagate 1tb drive. had it 1.5 yrs not one problem with it. Its used everyday.

I wonder is this a battle to sound smarter the next person?? I have the same computer and was on here trying to find out what it's worth. I barely know how to use a computer I'm not a tech geek. what I do know is who ever said that the value or something depends on the person buying it and what they're willing to pay is about the most intelligent comment I've seen on here yet. the economy affects poor people the most it makes poor people not have enough to pay even a little for something. yes there will always be people better off that spend a lot of money on stupid s*** regardless of the economy. I paid $80 for the computer I'm trying to sell and I will bet anyone on here that I can find somebody in less than a week to pay 150 for it. not everybody plays games that require unlimited speed and massive technology. some people simply need Facebook and other basic stuff a 10 or 15 year old computer will do easily and do well.
