The shooter shot an unarmed man in the back. The word for this is murder. The shooter will most likely be charged with involuntary manslaughter and probated due to the nature of the circumstances. The family of the victim can then sue the shooter for wrongful death. This is how our justice system works.

Stick to the internet because as already stated no charges will be filed so it cannot be Murder... Murder is a term of art and requires legal justification for it's specification in a individual case... Now go back to playing Angry Birds you might me good at that at least....

Maybe because the shooter was not charged with a crime and didn't want his name released so the doper friends of the shootee seek revenge while in a drug induced rage....

The grand jury can still indict the shooter if the prosecutor so chooses to present the case. The neighbor wasn't protected under the castle law because it was not his property. Quantummist you are dissapointing me with that narrow minded view. Smh... now back to angry birds.

WHAT is really sad, is the fact that people are unnecessarily, put in situations where they have to defend themselves and their property... BY individuals that have no business doing what they are doing and something like this happens... THE way i see it is, there are no winners in situations like this...

Can't disagree with that.... I don't ever want to hurt anyone or see anyone hurt in any way... Ex military and had my fill of violence... I would rather roam the forests taking photos of pretty flowers and birds and stuff but long ago I learned that there are Bad People that will steal your stuff, kill your family and rape your dog... That's why I carry a firearm and answer the door with a Glock in my hand... Just in case.... Always better to have a firearm and not need it than to need a firearm and not have it....

Shooting a person in the back is wrong no matter how you try to justify it. Its called murder. The police aren't even allowed to shoot a person who is running.

I don't care if it's wrong. I didn't do it. I will not go to jail for doing it. If the cops charge that guy it will not affect me. The ONLY fallout that could possibly affect me is the thief will never be able to steal from me or anybody that I care about. I did not take the chance of going to jail. I may benefit from this. I appreciate the person who took the chance of going to jail to make the world a better place.
