I agree 100% with you, but you shouldn't kill someone if they are no threat to your well being! Let the police take care of it! The shooter played judge, juror and executioner!
No the shooter played Citizen protecting his and his neighbors property in a state that has a Castle Doctrine and a Stand your ground law and in the ensuing struggle a shot was fired... We have no idea at this point if the Shooter acted outside the law but we do know that breaking into someone property can get your on personal toe tag... Pass that around to anyone you know that thinks breaking into another's property is not that big of deal.... Place the Blame where it belongs ... squarely in the "He should have considered this as a possible unintended consequence of his action" category...

"a few dollars in change" shouldn't have been worth stealing to him, but it was. If there had been more he dammmm sure would have taken that too.

I personally wish he had not been killed, or any other person, but the fact is when you or yours is threatened by thieves or any others..you cant take a chance on interviewing them to ask their intentions. If a person has the nerve to steal then you cannot take a chance on them. If this guy was doing something that threatened another persons wellbeing or possessions then he asked for what he got...period. His death is his own fault no matter what he was stealing, if it was pocket change then the people involved would probably have given it to him if he had only asked for it. The thieves and their families had better get used to the fact that people are fed up with this sh1t and more people will probably get hurt if it dosent stop.

It is really sad he had to lose his life but it's not been a year since he was In jail for stealing and I know he has kids but those kids have not been in his or the mothers care they were taken away! He did rob houses at artemus he is like most of the thieves in this area they are just trying to support their habit which is sad also. It's bad that a young life was taken but who's to know we wouldn't do the same thing I can't say if someone is trying to take what I work for I'm not gonna fight for it some way or another . The boy does deserve to RIP so I say leave the bad comments off

It isn't always the true value that counts. My dad died in 1980 and I have his pocket knife, it was in his pocket when he died. It's not worth much in money but if I caught someone trying to steal it I would shoot them without even thinking about it.

Right on. Thats why he did it again. When they get away with it, they'll do it again. I'm armed and dangerous too. If I catch anyone stealing from me, they'll get the same thing. Let this be your warning. If you can't support your habit, then you better find another way to get your "goods" besides stealing from other people. I just hate this for his family.

Maybe if we all offered each other some help desperate situations like this wouldn't occur and our communities could avoid tragic outcomes more often.
Im sure the government and hard working ppl wil take care of his kids...Was he thinking of his kids when he was stealing, robbing, doing drugs?

Obviously, he's been in jail before and it didn't help. If he hadn't of been there, he would not have been shot. Simple as that.

According the what was so far stated they did catch him, and were in a struggle when he was shot... If that's true then shit happens... If (and it assumes facts not in evidence) he was shot while running away then the investigation will show it, and that can be prosecuted... but from the police statements it says he attempted to flee and was caught and a struggle ensued and he was shot... That is not necessarily prosecutable and may be justified... The guys in the video looked a bit old and us old guys are not going to get into a tussle, we will just shot you and clean up the mess latter....

The cops later statement said he ran they ran after him. Then they got into a struggle and then he got up and ran again and they fired the gun!

I have mixed emotions about this , 1st thing is that I dont think anyone should die for breaking into a car. But what bothers me is what this mans intentions were had he not been caught. Would he have went into this persons home where a family lay sleeping ? What does it take to make sure the word is out that people arent going to go to bed and have trouble sleeping because they're worrying about their belongings or their lives. I'm sure other theives now know to stay away from this area. As the economy gets worse I'm afraid this is going to become more frequent........except in this neighborhood !

I don't think it's the economy causing this behavior. Most people who are having trouble making ends meet or trouble finding work don't go out and steal from others. There is help available if they seek it. People who are out stealing from others are doing it to support bad habits (drugs) not to support their families.

You are absolutely right about that and when the economy does crash again it won't just be an addict that steals some change but anyone that is doing without food water etc.We are living in scary times.Listen guys.I do NOT think Randy should have been where he was and doing what he did.My point is.They caught him while inside the truck and BOTH of them held him at gun point and THE NEIGHBOR SHOT HIM not the owner of the property.I am simply saying that things were done wrong on BOTH SIDES.When I was angry earlier it was just for the simple fact that I was scrolling down to endless trash talk about someone I care about.Who wouldnt get mad?I understand that most would feel threatened by someone outside their home but the fact is.He wasnt armed and BOTH OF THEM WERE.According to the news.He needed help like ALL addicts do but society fails them with SO much hate when if they would show love them perhaps that would reach them and make them feel worthy enough to quit.Addicts all have the same background.Abuse, neglect, tramp led on.They lose their self worth and they give up on themselves because of all the hate.Love CURES all.We should love addicts too.So that they feel like its worth living again. He was dying anyway.Drugs take over your mind and thoughts.MINDCONTROL! To me that isnt really them.Sorry for the rage earlier but its hard seeing people say he deserved to die.The Court systemsdo not give a thief the death penalty so why should anyone?

And the way I heard it was the boy had a gun on him too which was found by emt on the scene. Scary stuff in what used to be a peaceful neighborhood. I know a good many of those people and if he needed help with ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING all he'd had to do was ask and he would have got some help. It sure it pitiful to see things like this happen.
