Lady & the Tramp: not the movie version

She was a grown woman and had lived a hard life, without many positive moments or success, until she met "Mr. R". He showed her THE WAY, the right way to live, and how to be successful. For the first time in her life she got a driver's liscense, then shortly afterwards, a car. She learned to be punctual, always on time and prepared. She learned the importance of honesty and hard work, and to avoid "making excuses". She became successful, she had a good life and she was a Lady. However, in time--somewhere along the way--"Mr.R" became less important to her and was "pushed" into the background. Apparently, she had never heard the expression, "never bite the hand that feeds you". Not surprisingly, he soon decided to leave her and find a new woman. Well, time has now passed and "The Lady" is now a tramp...literally. She lives from place to place, steals, does drugs, and sells herself for money...what a waste. This is an actual, true, ongoing story in Knox County and not a fairy tale. I guess it goes to prove that, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink". In this case I think it proves that, "you can lead a person to knowledge but you can't make them think".
