I would rather have clean water and tops on the mountains .. let new york and the rest make electricity for overpopulated and under resourced areas however they can.

Why do you think they come to Ky. and all the other Appalachian states to mine coal? Is it because that's the only source for coal? No, it's the cheapest source for coal. They give you a trailor and a new car and you give up the land to mine. They won't mine in N.Y. or the other northern states because those people won't let the Company have it for next to nothing. Your states supply the coal to light the houses of the rich and give high paying jobs to power generating stations in the North. When your coal is gone, you will be back to the 1940's again.

A few years in a mine will leave your kids orphaned your wife to her boyfriend and you to an early grave. The lease owners laugh at you as you die.
