Truseal is an excellent place to work (IF) you are there to furnish your work for an agreed to rate of pay. If you are there to complain and be disrespectful to others you will have problems, just as you would anywhere.

The social and moral problems are no less or more severe at truseal than any other place you may work.If you conduct yourself morally you will draw those who are moral for friends. If you conduct yourself immorally you will draw the immoral friends. This is true at truseal. at Knox Central, at Wal-mart, at the hospital and regretfully at church.

Management and union have their hypocrites they also have their straight talkers. Truseal is as any other part of your lifes journey IT IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT AND NO-ONE CAN CHANGE YOUR MIND.
So every one do your thing and respect the other persons right to do so.If anyone gets the oppurtunity to work at truseal whether it be local 8411 members or replacements my advice to you is take it.

i will square dance as well Imcinfantry. They can call me a scab and I would love for them to try to threaten me. I am 6'4" 250 lbs and have a proud background in steel working and law enforcement. This economy helped me lose my government job and have been struggling with a family of 4. I support the Union folks for them being upset but seriously, how long does a scab keep the job? Not very long and I need Christmas for my 2 baby boys (ages 4 and 8).

You must have heard wrong, I was down there and they are set up in 3 different location's on that road. I didn't see them handing out any kind of paper's, they were standing, sitting, walking. holding signs, and they were all smileing and waved at everyone going by. The channel 56 News van was parked at the hospital and they had a camera standing with the ones at the gate, so watch 56 news today and see. It's very cold today, they are brave.

so_funny, thats right I don't have a job, and have been in the welfare line. To anyone that ever goes through this I wouldnt wish on my worse enemy. Imagine having a high salary and now depending on toys for tots to get my kids Christmas, so i will not shut up and i will be a scab buying Christmas for my kids!

Screw all unions they are one reason americans jobs are moving out of the country.

When the unions were formed they were needed but that was before we had federal and state laws to protect the worker.

Just like the dinosaurs, the unions need to go.

hey limbertwig i got news for you if you want to not have a union and make medium wages that is fine with me. but i had rather have a union and have insurance and make 20.00 dollars a hour. my husband retired where they had a union and his retirement check is 3,200.00 a month. if he had worked where they didn't have a union he would be lucky to draw half that much. so i would rather have a union and have something than work and not have nothing. oh yea where he worked at he made a lot more than $20.00 a hour.

I agree with Limbertwig. Many businesses have had to shut their doors because the union came in and tried to force them to pay higher wages. In this economy I think employees should thank their lucky stars they even have a job! Exactly what will Truseal's "employees" do if the doors are closed and they have no job in which to return? It's called cutting off your nose to spite your face.
