They shouldn't be no firearms allowed in city parks or where kids are at play.

Aren't kids at play everywhere? Bet you would change your mind if a gun owner protected you or your kids from a child molester "where kids are at play".

It is Illegal for a city to restrict legally carried fire arms from city parks... One place a Legal Firearm should be is where kids are at play because anyone can enter with an Illegal firearm and shoot your children.... The sign does not stop a bad guy... It's not like an invisible force field that blocks guns from entering...

KRS 65.870 Local firearms control ordinances prohibited.
No city, county or urban-county government may occupy any part of the field of regulation of the transfer, ownership, possession, carrying or transportation of firearms, ammunition, or components of firearms or combination thereof.

Safest place for a gun is in a holster attached to my belt.

Quantummist, seems like everyone makes up their own laws or revises it in this County. Thank goodness for a few people know about them. Ha Ha.....

Guess we need to work with the local government and have all city officials take a basis Literacy course so they can learn to read.... It's hard to follow the law if you can't read the law in the first place...

You only need a gun that shots on bullet to hunt a rabbit or deer.

They need only let security and law carry a gun.I'm talking citizens. Why would a regular person off the street need a gun in a public park.Parents needs to start standing up protecting their kids.No one needs a gun that shots more than one bullet at a time.My husband hunts even he is against guns that shots more than one bullet.hell a deer is gone after one shot if you miss.

All rifles and pistols only shoot one bullet at a time... Shotguns on the other hand shoot dozens of bullets at a time... The Police show Up After you are dead... As a local Sheriff said.."My job is to show up and draw a chalk line around the body, It's up to you if the chalk line is around You or the Bad Guy"......

Let's say a local park is all nice and kids frolicking in the sun shine and along comes a guy with a gun that don't give a crap about guns allowed in the park and starts shooting your kids... Would you rather I be there with a Glock that has 16 rounds or wait for 10 to 15 minutes for a cop to show up...

The government needs to lay off the gun issue and focus on real issues, such as the economy.

"This week KC3 filed suit against six Kentucky cities - Louisville, Ft. Thomas, Warsaw, Winchester, Ft. Mitchell - and Woodford county for violating KRS 65.870 by posting illegal signage or having illegal ordinances in place. They had six months to get their houses in order, now they're going to have to pay for their flouting of our laws!

KRS 65.879 allows individuals or groups with standing to sue government entities that violate the law, and recover expenses and attourney fees."

Any Lawyer out there want to make a few bucks?
