I never said that I support her getting the kids to do it. I was just saying that until you know all the facts, people shouldn't judge. But even as I digress, I must remember this is Knox county. It isn't easy to find a job in this time and economy. I have waited tables, and worked in fast food joints. I am not on government assistance nor do I take handouts. Some people are just caught in a cycle of poverty. If you have no car, it's hard to get to Lexington. I get alot of my children's clothes from Goodwill. I don't demand a higher salary due to my degrees but when most employers see Master's degrees on the resume they assume I won't work for the same salary that a BS degree would entail. Some people just have it hard....

There is never an excuse to steal, those children knew right from wrong and the mother thre that away when she made them help her steal. There are programs that help people buy thier children school clothes and such I understand why you didn't say anything that's one of those situations that your like "omg.... what do I do" The flight or fight kicks in thats just human nature don't beat yourself up about not doing anything, you'll know better for next time.

I think the original poster should have given the mother money instead of being on topix running their mouth about it. I dont blame her for letting those kids steal, they sure cant go to jail for it, let them steal what-ever they want its not coming out of your pocket, and what was the reason for posting this any how, what good has it done for you, do you think that you are a hero now for getting on topix and bad mouthing someone who is trying to make it.
The kids can't go to jail but the parent sure can. It is a far worse charge for making your kids steal then doing it yourself. Just thought I'd give my two cents but what do I know.

The mom is just teaching them a trade.. I'm sure if the children are that old, the mom knows about the Resource Centers at each school, and that she can go to them to get clothes or other items needed. She just chooses to steal.

You all would do it too. If your kids were hungry or needed clothing you would steal the quarters off of a dead mans eyes. So just keep running your mouth about how low this mother is, it can happen to you some day. the kids enjoyed this.
Yes it sure sounds like the kids enjoyed this this, you idiot!!!! They were saying thsy didn't want to steal, they were afraid of going to jail!! So truth be known this wasn't even for her kids! She either resold them or spent all her money on drugs and has no money left for her kids clothes! So teaching them to steal now shows them that its always ok to steal! Off if u, me, anyone, or anywhere! What if she had been caught by an employee, she would've went ti jail and kids to foster care! Im sure they would enjoy that as well right!?!?! And no i wouldnt or would any normal person steal for their kids much less make them steal! If hungry or in need the right and best thing to do is get a job, 2 jobs, or ask for help! You must bd an inbred, drug addict, thief as well! Low life piece of crap!!!!!

You are all talking like this lady took something from each of you, the lady probably doesnt have a bed to lay her head, and probably going without to do for the kids, we could all take up a donation to help these poor kids, and remember its not the kids fault. I think u got this from a movie and i dont think u r 70
Yeah I can see what you're saying, however I've been there and done that and never ever had to have my child/children break the law by stealing!!! And I never would l!! So there ya go, I made rhru mybhard tumrscw/o breaking the or having my childvdo it for me! I didn't steal but if it had been the casebmy child wouldn't even know much less participate!! So don't give me that piece of crap story!!!!!! Here's what they need to do........ Stop being lazy, get a job or 3 and most important don't teach your kids its OK to break the law and go to jail!!!!!!! Sorry but I think this person needs her kids put in better homes and she needs jail time and, or rehab!!!!k!! So good luck and GB
