Collins and his wife never knew nobody until this election. I went to school with them both and they always thought they was above everybody. Not vote for him.

Collins dad has worked his whole life in Barbourville and been an excellent friend to all that he met. Was a great father to his son that is now running for Clerk. Collins wife has been pushed through this entire campaign and so has Corey's wife. I thing that either candidate would be a good choice. It is all about who you think will serve Knox and get us out of this slump. I hope them both good luck. May the public vote for the best man.

His wife walks right passed people and doesn't speak, even with him running. Snobby!

Let me ask you a question, this is not being hateful either. Would Collins wife or Corey's not speaking to you change what their husbands do? If people had to speak to me thinking they had to, I would much rather them not. How many politicians or their spouse speak to people for that fact, until election time, then you are made to feel special like you are part of a community or family. They should treat you as their equal all the time but they do not. It's a power struggle during election, just look at the signs (I have the biggest sign and more than you do, billboards, radio spots, newspaper ads, I could go on). We need change in this County and now you are the one that can change it, so you and everyone else can wipe the slate clean if you wanted, your choice.

Just because someone promises change doesn't mean it's good for the situation. The clerks office is in great shape.. Fact is it's the only office right now that's not a embarrassment. If the wheel ain't broke there's no reason to change it. Collins has literally no resume showing proof that his change would make us better off. He's made no points in his platform that proves his leadership would serve better than Corey's. There's a lot of other positions that could use a change but our clerks office isn't one of them.

Both men are good citizens of our community. I would have liked to see Collins run for Judge Exec, Jailer or even magistrate. Those positions need good leadership and change. He was puppetized and run simply because Corey won't play into the current albatross of a system. This election will put Corey back in because people want their tax dollars accounted for.. His reputation of 16 years will overshadow this Change platform.

Corey will get my vote. He and his wife are both very friendly people anytime you see them out. I think he does a fine job in office and think he should stay.

Everything you have said it the truth. I don't like all the mudslinging, it can get quite ugly during election time. Both candidates have had their wives names slandered to death on this site. I like both Corey and Collins. I have always been for Mike and have also said he runs his office well, he doesn't meet a stranger and I have not had a bad moment in his office with his staff. Again I will say vote for change if you want that is everyone's right.

If Derek does not get elected it is because of his wife Amy. I have known her for 20 years and she is a royal bitch. There is not many people that like her. She is killing her husband in this election.

I couldn't agree more with a post. Derek got pushed into running for Clerk and all for nothing. Mike has always run a tight ship that the county can be proud of. Both the Corey and Collins family are great people I agree. I wish Derek would have ran for Judge Exec... That's one thing that his change was needed more than anywhere.

Have you informed the judge exec that change was needed in his office? If so, why did your candidate not run for that office? By the way, it doesn't take a genius to figure out whose posting on here. There's a couple of different places to read the same writing.
