Excuse me, but I think you have a short memory. Did you forget about him fighting for YOUR freedom in Viet Nam? I think anyone that doesn't have respect for our vets is a low life, and their opinion doesn't mean squat. I do not know this man personally, but I remember him working in the post office and was always a very helpful and knowledgeably employee, and for your information a postal employee MUST be a honest, dependable and hard working person. He will definitely get my vote.

And by doing so, you will be doing a disservice to yourself as well as to your loved ones who reside here and your fellow community members. So, you
would be wise to think again.

Not so fast! You learn and hear a great deal when you work with the public full-time until retirement. Believe that!

Furthermore, The Real Truth is that what we learn in life occurs through a multitude of experiences, not just at work. Surely you know that.

Regardless of where we spend our time during our work hours, we are all living in The Real World.

Everyone know this is a bash site. So it did take some courage for him to make his post on topix. He sounds good to me. Someone with backbone and desire. Is what the county needs. JM stays under the radar to keep his nose clean. He's just taking a free ride. Of coarse he can call one of the boys to go dump a few rocks on somebody's road!!! We need leadership and someone with ideas. Not just a chip on his shoulder. I'm liking this Gibson.

This is not a bash site. Everyone has a choice. Mr. Gibson, could retire but choses to work. I started this thread he probably does not even have the time to get on here or doesn't know it exist. I have as most children and I worry about what their future holds. I am old and tired of worrying about the foolishness of the current Judge Executive, that's my opinion. You can vote Gibson or Hall your choice.

The late Jenning and Allie Logan Gibson are my parents. I was the youngest of ten children. Vontella Girdner, Jewell, Joe, Othella Mayne, Fred, Roy, Edith, Ernest, J.B.. We were loved and a happy family and raised in a Christian home.
I was raised on Hubbs Creek at Bryants Store with our Grandparents Nola Bryant and Finley Gibson. And with some mighty good neighbors. White and Dora Williams on one side and Harve and Sara Logan on the other, and more good ones on down the road.
I walked and went to a one room school till I was in the 6th grade. I was fortunate, I had good teachers, H.C. Miracle, A.J. Senters, Herman Hopper, Bertha Jones, Vester Mahan and Winnie Eastridge. We moved to Cincinnati in my freshman year at Knox Central. I graduated from Withrow High School in 1965.
I worked at G.M. and went in the Army in 1966. I was in Viet Nam in 67 and 68. I am proud to be a Veteran. I came back to Barbourville in 1970, worked two years at Warners and two with Life and Casualty in Corbin. I love Knox county and that is why I came back. I went to work at the Barbourville Post Office in 1974. I was a Carrier, Clerk, and Supervisor for 30 years. I served Bryants Store as Postmaster for 8 years. I am presently working at CSC.
I have a daughter, Stephanie, she is in her 6th year of college, on her way to becoming a doctor. I have a Step-daughter, Gwendolyn. She is a Home Health Nurse and a college graduate. I am proud of my family, my parents, brothers and sisters, and all my many friends and neighbors in Knox county, and proud of my country.
We shouldn't be on the list as one of the poorest counties in USA. Jobs, should be our number one goal, we have college graduates, that cannot find a teaching job in the county or any other kind of a good job. Who is trying to help these young people ? If I’m elected that is my number one goal, bring jobs to Knox county. We have lost 700 jobs in Knox county in the last few years.
I have not read or heard of our present Judge seeking jobs for our county, he is just worried about jobs for his inner circle. And they have the Hospital in such a mess, Its plain and simple the county can't run a hospital. The hospital is worth 6 or 7 million and they owe 23 million on it. The hospital has to be sold and the county get out of its way. I want to be your Judge Executive.
I have faithfully served my Country, I want to serve my county.
This is what I am looking for someone who has the county and it's citizens welfare in mind. I want change!

Oh my goodness, I thought you were going to say he was a corrupt politician, or that he robbed someone or even worse had stolen from someone. You could probably get a lot more if it wouldn't swept under the rug or not put on jail tracker. Still would vote for this good man.

Or we could hide it like everything else. Now you can have that removed also. Some people do divorce instead of having it both ways and you know what I am talking about. Dennis is a good man and some would like you to think different. He has served the county and country. Can you say the same about the others. Yes, I won't put their names because they will have it removed. Talk about shady!

He is getting a divorce! Oh my! The shame! The shame of it all! LOL

Just because someone is getting a divorce does not make them unsuitable for public office. C'mon now! Get real. That is ludicrous.

Some would like to be divorced, but stay because they value money and material possessions more than their own happiness, not to mention the happiness of their spouse. In other words, they are cowards, not to mention self-absorbed.. It takes courage to file for divorce.

Do not come any better than Barbara, huh? Although both parties are usually to blame in these types of situations, I beg to differ on that statement.

I wold like to hear the candidates view on roadside dumps and trash in the rivers and streams..mandatory trash pickup in the county would be a huge step in moving the county into a new directon. Taking pride in the area we live in and not be embarrassed for friends and relatives to visit.

Go to his web site and email him with your concerns or call him. When you talk to him would you please come on here and tell us what he says. I have every confidence that he will talk to you in honesty. I like when people give you honest answers instead of telling you what they think you want to hear and as soon as you leave or talk to them they are making fun of you behind your back. http://www.gibson4judgeexec.com/

I went to Hall's office once to discuss a dangerous bridge issue, he was nice enough to speak with however, he agreed that it was dangerous and left me with the impression he would take care of it. Nothing was ever done, and the bridge is still a danger to all that use it. The bridge has no guardrails and it's located right in the apex of a curve. Twice cars have went over there into the creek some 10 feet below, and thank God no one was killed. It's a very dark road with no street lights, and I'm afraid one morning when the road is sleek the school bus that crosses that ridge almost daily with children, will go over there. I explained my concerns with Hall, I thought he supported protecting the children, I was wrong, Therefore I will not support him !!!

King Hall is nothing but a crook and a liar, and this comes from someone that used to really like him. But not anymore. And if the people of Knox County doesn't keep Gilbert Holland in office, and by some chance voted that idiot David Jorjani in then this county will be in real trouble. Anyone in their right mind would never vote that phsyco back in office again.

That is what and why people have been hearing "I'll take care of it". Every politician has an agenda they won't everyone to like and vote for them, so they tell you what you want to hear. When it falls through it is blamed on the magistrates.
