I feel that our next Judge-Executive should be honest, have a lot of life experiences. We need people that has integrity, honesty, promise-keeping, and loyalty. I am concerned with the ones who have our future in their hands. It's up to you the voters. I am getting old, old and would like to see something good change for us in my lifetime. I look at my grandchildren with worry everyday. We don't have the means to leave them a big inheritance, see some people do and they don't worry about the rest. I am asking all that have the same concerns to give Dennis Gibson one term to prove himself.

My better half was reading the paper last night and was telling me that Mr. Gibson was running for judge executive. After telling me what a hard working man, good to all, smart and told me that if there was ever a person to vote for this position he would be the one. That's all I need to know. I will start campaigning today for Mr. Gibson. Hall will not get our vote's.

I didn't know this, very helpful. Let's try to help this man. Do you know if he is putting signs up or has people helping him. Because I would volunteer going door to door or whatever it takes.

The is by far the best site and campaign on the net. You can even get additional information on how to help Mr. Gibson on the bottom of his webpage. How true he speaks of letting the magistrates do the jobs they are voted to do. If you've not been to his site here it is. Thank you teacher this has helped me I am looking forward to contacting Mr. Gibson.

The late Jenning and Allie Logan Gibson are my parents. I was the youngest of ten children. Vontella Girdner, Jewell, Joe, Othella Mayne, Fred, Roy, Edith, Ernest, J.B.. We were loved and a happy family and raised in a Christian home.

I was raised on Hubbs Creek at Bryants Store with our Grandparents Nola Bryant and Finley Gibson. And with some mighty good neighbors. White and Dora Williams on one side and Harve and Sara Logan on the other, and more good ones on down the road.

I walked and went to a one room school till I was in the 6th grade. I was fortunate, I had good teachers, H.C. Miracle, A.J. Senters, Herman Hopper, Bertha Jones, Vester Mahan and Winnie Eastridge. We moved to Cincinnati in my freshman year at Knox Central. I graduated from Withrow High School in 1965.

I worked at G.M. and went in the Army in 1966. I was in Viet Nam in 67 and 68. I am proud to be a Veteran. I came back to Barbourville in 1970, worked two years at Warners and two with Life and Casualty in Corbin. I love Knox county and that is why I came back. I went to work at the Barbourville Post Office in 1974. I was a Carrier, Clerk, and Supervisor for 30 years. I served Bryants Store as Postmaster for 8 years. I am presently working at CSC.

I have a daughter, Stephanie, she is in her 6th year of college, on her way to becoming a doctor. I have a Step-daughter, Gwendolyn. She is a Home Health Nurse and a college graduate. I am proud of my family, my parents, brothers and sisters, and all my many friends and neighbors in Knox county, and proud of my country.

We shouldn't be on the list as one of the poorest counties in USA. Jobs, should be our number one goal, we have college graduates, that cannot find a teaching job in the county or any other kind of a good job. Who is trying to help these young people ? If I’m elected that is my number one goal, bring jobs to Knox county. We have lost 700 jobs in Knox county in the last few years.

I have not read or heard of our present Judge seeking jobs for our county, he is just worried about jobs for his inner circle. And they have the Hospital in such a mess, Its plain and simple the county can't run a hospital. The hospital is worth 6 or 7 million and they owe 23 million on it. The hospital has to be sold and the county get out of its way. I want to be your Judge Executive.

I have faithfully served my Country, I want to serve my county.

This is what I am looking for someone who has the county and it's citizens welfare in mind. I want change!
Sorry

Every office in the courthouse is the people's office.

Elected officials just hold the office for a short time. You may think that once a person is elected, the office is theirs. The office and the job actually doesn't belong to any one person. It belongs to all of us and our responsibility is to elect a competent, decicated individual to run the day to day operation for us.

If elected, I want you to come to that office and feel as comfortable as I do in it. I will listen to your problems and give you honest answers.

The magistrate's are paid a good salary and should earn it.
I want each magistrate to be in charge of his district and fully perform his duty to the people of Knox County. I won’t interfere unless asked to do so by a citizen with a problem that they feel the magistrate has not given the proper attention.

Knox County has an experienced work force ready to go back to work. And empty buildings that we should be aggressively advertising to factories and businesses. I will work to bring jobs to our county. I want the governor to know me and that I and the people of Knox County are after jobs for our county. If we don't actively look for and ask for businesses to bring their factories and stores, they won’t come. I will work with not only our county officials but with Whitley, Bell, Clay, and Laurel counties to help our county grow.

Congressman Rogers will help us, if we do our part. Elected officials must show we are for the people in the county and not for what we can get out of the office. I am serious about this, we can be better as a county. Jobs give people hope for a better life and cut down on crime and drugs. It’s hard to be a positive person if you don't see a good future ahead for you.

Look at the money we spend on crime in our county. As jobs get fewer crime rates get higher, that is a proven fact. We have to turn this around. We must go after jobs for our people.

If you agree, help elect me, Dennis Gibson, your next Knox County Judge Executive.

I have served my country. I want to serve my county. Thank You

By the way I am trying to help put someone in office. Like I have said on other post none of the people that I am for know who I am nor do I care if they knew who I am. I could be you as far as this candidate is concerned, just ready to have something to look forward to all this negativity is more than any of can stand. Your post about going out into public to help however did not fall on deaf ears, you are right.

Mr. Gibson has beIten out going door-to-door meeting the citizens of Knox County. As a matter-of-fact, I know he was out and about last weekend. So, you see, he is not hiding behind a computer. He is out there letting the people know he wants better for our area and that they deserve better. Having a website is beneficial in my opinion. People want to see websites these days.

Limbertwig, I am so happy to have a man like Mr. Gibson running. He is old school and knows exactly the problems we face now. We need desperately to get the word out for people to vote for him. He is for the people.
