I don't now if it is from the shutdown, but a lot of people won't be getting what they used to, if at all. Alot of money was cut from that program to help balance the nationalbudget that hasn't been passed yet.

The offices are now a call center. The offices cannot be contacted directly any longer. You can call a toll free number or go into the local office. No one has a particular worker any longer. You cannot call 3121 and speak to anyone. You will be redirected to a toll free number

Why don't you deadbeats get a job and buy your own food. I am sick and tired of seeing my tax dollars go to support a bunch of lazy low lifes.

food stamps are great for those that need them. But 80 percent is teenagers and sorry people with 4 or 5 kids and another on the way. Old people and others cant get them because there is not enough to go around. Maybe the government needs to start fixing men and women on food stamps after one child so they cant have anymore childern.

You must be one of those welfare woman with 10 kids and maybe you know who the daddy is to two of them. I keep hoping that they will enforce drug testing on the food stamp people and those that are positive take the kids away. See how they survive on no welfare or stamps.

Too funny, no I don't have 10 kids, and no I have never been on welfare. But if I had of had 10 kids that would if been up to me, not some pompus A$$ who thinks they have the right to say the government should be fixing people! This is not Nazi Germany. But I have to say I agree that kids who are trapped in homes with dopeheads deserve a better life. And in most cases those children are not benefiting from the welfare or food stamps. Something should be done about that.

I love martini's and go to red lobster every chance I can..What's wrong with that??If you don't rely on Uncle Sam and do for yourself you can accomplish anything..But rely on your government assistance and you'll settle for root beer and eat crawl dad's😜
