Lay and G.R. Hampton have the top test scores in the county, including Barbourville Elementary. Is that surprising to anyone?

Don't know about test scores BUT Lay's principal is a jerk! He's transparent! Likes to paint a really pretty picture but he's full of crap!

Barbourville Elementary's scores were lower than nearly ALL the county elementary schools but maybe one or two, I think.

It's true. Pretty sure every county elementary got higher scores than Barbourville but maybe Flat Lick and Lynn Camp. Could be mistaken, but you can easily find it online. Lay and GR Hampton's scores were quite a bit higher than everyone else.

Lay-60.6, GRH-56.4, Dewitt-49.8, Central-48.7, Girdler-46.0, Barbourville-44.9, Lynn Camp-43.6, Flat Lick-42.8

Barbourville was 15.7 points lower than Lay and 11.5 points behind GR, 3.8 points behind Central, 1.4 points lower than Girdler, 1.3 pints higher than Lynn Camp & 2.1 points higher than Flat Lick.

Barbourville is in the 10th percentile which I believe means that 90% of the schools in Kentucky scored higher. All schools in the 70th percentile or below are considered in need of improvement. All of the above schools are considered in need of improvement, just some need more improving than others.

Here are the elementary test scores for Knox County and Barbourville Elementary. Someone didn't believe Barbourville Elementary was lower than all but Flat Lick and Lynn Camp.
