The Pharmacist is from Barbourville. Sam's Pharmacy and staff will be there too. I think the only reason u don't see familiar faces is because they are using staff from other areas (trained and experienced). They are only trying to promote Good customer service not anything else. Although I did hear they are hiring, go check them out.

It (Walgreens) did open up jobs for some, I am sure there are some at sams that were promised jobs but atleast there will be openings to bring other people in. Personally I don;t think its bad that some were promised jobs there were alot of people that worked there, economy is bad enough and unemployment at a high, I am glad to see them get the opportunity to continue to provide for themselves and their families. It also allows for some people to get a job that has not been able to find work in the area.

I get tired of companies coming in here and exploiting the people, Doctors writing them prescriptions for false problems, someone selling this crap on the street, and the law doing nothing to stop it. There are dealers who have been in the same place for 5 - 10 years. WAKE UP BARBOURVILLE!

Drug problem in knox county I do agree with! People going to the Dr and "pretending" to be in pain, has already put those with "real pain" in a bad situation cause DR's don't have a clue (at least for a while) who is full of it and some Dr's have really cut back on writing prescriptions period, which makes those who really need meds and would take them "AS DIRECTED" suffer. If the Dr's would work more with Pharmacys and Pharmacys would work more with DEA and or DRUG CONTROL, This Promblem would not be so bad!!

I went to Sams only once and never again!! and so now that I know this I will surely not be going to walgreens. I will stay with Parkway Pharmacy forever they are all so nice each and every one of the girls there. they will continue to take care of me and the rest of my family. Sams messed up my elderly mothers prescriptions and she was without meds for a few days so I will let her know as well.. Thank u for the info on this post

Who cares? Knox Countians need jobs! Just because the school is rated low doesn't mean everyone who graduated from there is dumb! I graduated from Knox Central, and I consider myself at least to have a least average, if not above average intelligence. Where did YOU attend high school?

Also, I believe that when stores first open, they tend to bring in experienced workers, rather than throw in new people who've never done the job.

Sam Moore is one of the nicest people that you will ever meet! Not only is Sam a pharmacist but he is also a preacher and a pastor of a church in Gray.

I agree 100%. Barbourville has lost a good Pharmacy with GOOD people, Sam Moore and his staff actually cared about the people that came through his doors, more than I can say others ever thought about!!!!
