In the past they had many prizes and baskets and I don't remember a year that my kids didn't get something but this afternoon was a joke I bet they didn't give 20 things out I walked out with 25 people and nobodys kids had won anything this was so bad for the kids they had waited all week for this day .

Poor kids..I guess the egg hunt wasn't good enough for little Johnny and Susie cup cakes...I guess when they get jobs and start paying taxes maybe there can be more prizes on the tax payers...you should never expect something for nothing..

This town NEEDS everything to encourage our children, children remember who provides the best easter egg hunts, water park passes, the Safe Park to be at, to run and play without fear of running into METH heads and Herion, Johnny and Susie are our tomorrow and tomorrows voters.

Encourage them, how? To believe that easter is about egg laying rabbits? If you really want to encourage them , take them to Knoxville to a homeless shelter and volunteer them for an hour helping the homeless. Let them see what happens if they dont make good choices. Witnessing a little disparity could possibly convince them that its better to work and buy the things they want rather than stand in the "free stuff" line.

Some Parents are only teaching their children the "free line stuff" instead of what Easter really means... Take your children to church if you can't drive to Knoxville to see the homeless shelter and volunteer... A little basket of candy isn't something to cry over... Have a egg hunt at home after church and make your child a Easter Basket that is what used to do....

Do what you want with "your" 4 yearold, just dont expect me or my kids to feed , cloth, house or entertain it. I will help educate it tho, wouldnt want it to grow up writing nonsense like .. "she can pears from the homeless" .. LOL

If the city's broke they should cut the pay of the city council members I heard they make about 1000 dollars a month for a couple of meetings but that's kept hush hush

If everyone got a prize it would be kind of pointless.lol.Thats the reason to have prize eggs cis for the lucky one to find them. Not for everyone to get one.

Why is it the mayors responsibility to get "your" child an easter basket? Or a waterpark pass? or anything ? If you cant afford to give your child anything, why do you have one? You are aware of where they come from, correct? Tell your child you are the deadbeat who didnt get them anything, not that others owe them a good time because their parents are sorry .

When Christmas comes around get put in jail they give all the inmates goodies. Seems like priorities are so messed up in the County.
