It depends. The food is pretty consistent and good for the price, but the service can be excellent one visit and atrocious the next.

It's a tourist trap for travelers from the North. I went to one once and have never been back. Resturants don't have shopping stores in them.

to all you hillbillies who don't know, cracker is a derogatory term used by blacks to describe whites. you would think that after the way that paula deen has been treated, white people would boycott a place like crackerbarrel, which was founded by and being run by black people, who named the place as a derogatory. as far as the food goes, every time ive ever eaten at on, which would total 5 or 6, I have come out either throwing up or dissatisfied. I do like the store though, even though its a little pricey.

The Cracker Barrel name has nothing to do with race you nit wit! Crackers used to be shipped to stores in a barrel back in the day. That is what the store was named after. Haven't you ever seen an old western or an old TV show where crackers were in a barrel in the general store?

Cracker Barrel was sued 5 years ago as "racists" because the didn't hire enough blacks!

o silly nuttin like that....crackers were shipped in barrel way back when...just like the one by the front doors..Ithink it more likely what Danny Evins had in mind when he named the place.

For your information I've never seen a black person at a cracker barrel and I've been to 19 different ones ! And I am not a bit racist !!
