Why do you insist on parading your delusions in the pretense that they are somehow "proof" of sanity? Your "overwhelming joy and inner peace" is essentially no different than the contentedness of having a full gas tank before a trip or a heroin addict's relief after scoring a hit. Apparently, it doesn't take a whole lot to surpass your human understanding.
You do realize that the Semites (including the Hebrews) didn't always have just one god, don't you? The forefathers of the Jews (and yes, there were humans before 6,000 years ago) had their own pantheon. Monotheism is a relatively new development in the story.
Chroe , I don't doubt that you have read the Bible, that you understood what you read and what Jesus taught is quite another matter.
However, I understand your feelings as I once felt the same way myself.
If you understood and had experienced what Jesus stated, My peace I leave with you, not as the world gives it" then you would know it is not like having a full tank of gas.
It is a peace that surpasses human understanding, which you are ,like myself at one time, unable to fathom...
However, you are in a sense, correct , Jesus does fill your tank, atheism leaves one empty.
Yes , I realize that Hebrews didn't always have just one God , but the only one they kept a record of was the IAM that I Am. Obviously there other gods were insignificamt and false
Anyhow, good to hear from you again, glad you are not ignoring me..........
I hate to do this, but,,,,,,,,,,I gotta take a shot at ya as I believe you have a sense of humor, unlike crotchetty old Duket

You have no proof I'm on the wrong side. You say the same of Du Whut and declare yourself as righteous. No you still have your sins. You love? I would say you fear what you have read about God.

Sadly for you, your atheism has provided you with the inability to understand that which pertains to the true God and are therefore forced to make absurd comparisons which have nothing in common.Attempting to evplain them to you is futile, since you lack the ability to discern the difference.
When one accepts Christ, one is filled with overwhelming joy and inner peace which surpasses human understanding....
Compare that to the effects that those who renounce God exoerience.
Deep depression , anxiety ,loneliness, feeling abandoned and afflicted by suicidial tendencies.
Sadly, that kind of says it all..........
Strange.

The Muslims claim all other beliefs are wrong and theirs is the true religion.

The Hindus claim all other beliefs are wrong and theirs is the true religion.

The Zoroastrians claim all other beliefs are wrong and theirs is the true religion.

The Sikhs claim all other beliefs are wrong and theirs is the true religion.

The Jews claim all other beliefs are wrong and theirs is the true religion.

The Taoists claim all other beliefs are wrong and theirs is the true religion.

The Christians claim all other beliefs are wrong and theirs is the true religion.

Etc, etc, etc.....

Do you see a pattern emerging here?

They can't all be right but they sure as hell can all be wrong.

Man, those dumb Christians can't even agree among themselves what a true Christian is:

Huddled together under the umbrella of Christianity are hundreds (maybe thousands) of Christian denominations, sects and cults, all proclaiming that theirs is the truth and their way is the only way and that the other Christians are false.

Then, why do you refuse to answer the question directly, instead of beating around the bush and changing the topic.
You set certain conditions under which you believe that incest is acceptale.
Thoe conditions are
1) legal age
2) consensual
3) protection be used
Those are your only restrictions, you made no mention of the relation between participants.
So, in effect, ssister/brother incest , mother son incest and grandson and grandmother incest is acceptable to you as long as your conditions are met. Yes or no....
Stop running and start answering
Stop running?

I've not been running, although I can understand, that being of stunted intellect, your own stupidity may well make it appear as if I am running, when in reality you're just too thick to understand.

Anyway, you missed a fourth condition but there's probably little point in mentioning it because it's clear your one-dimensional mind I referred to earlier is finding things a bit too complex.

However, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and try - yet again.

No, it's not OK with me.

How many times do I have to say "it makes my flesh creep" to you before the penny drops?

Here comes the part that you can't seem to grasp so pay attention.....

Just because something is abhorrent to me doesn't mean I can always fault it from a moral perspective (in limited circumstances).

There you go.

Now, tell me why you refuse to comment on the incest approved and encouraged by Jehovah.

Are you vehemently opposed to that as well?

The floor is yours

Be honest and refrain from hypocrisy.

Or be a coward.

Currently, yes, marriage between one man and one woman. But there were times in the Old Testament and in the beginning of the restoration of Jesus' church that plural marriage was accepted by God.
That being plural marriage to the benefit of the man - not the woman.

It's the same mindset that allows for Muslims to have four wives in Islamic heaven and for their martyrs to have 72 virgins in the afterlife.

Lets face it, the worlds religions are no good for women.

One could trade in that forty for two twenties. I can see the old fogies eyes light up dreaming and hoping it's true. The promise of a lot of sexy looking women for one man and eternal life. A lure to hold them in as would the threat of torture for eternity for those that leave the church, women maybe not as much.

Mormons have entertaining beliefs for sure.

Let's just say I do not totally discredit and discard "possibilities" just because of a "lack of physical evidence".
Science would NEVER get much beyond it's own 20 yard line, if it did so. Probably wouldn't even have a Hadron collidor either.
You misunderstand me and you misunderstand science. There is a huge difference between not being convinced that something is true and to "totally discredit and discard possibilities".

Joe says he saw Bigfoot at Needle Point. I do not believe Joe saw Bigfoot at Needle Point.

That's very different from me saying it is impossible. It is IMPROBABLE.

And science does work from what is probable, not what is improbable. That's why science actually works.

So god's mind can be changed by the actions of the Federal and/or State government? He was OK with plural marriage until the Feds came and started taking things away.

Likewise, he was OK with being a bigot until the Civil Rights movement. Then, a few years later, he did an about face.

Seems like god just sort of follows the trends.
